I’ve said this for a while now the problem with that trade was never going to be what Logan O’hoppe would become. Whether he was good or bad with the angels did not matter. As soon as you extended Jt Realmuto, the value of ohoppe was as a trade asset/chip. Because he was a top 60 mlb prospect that played catcher and was a hitting catcher you should’ve gotten way more than a guy you had to fix to make an everyday player. He had a ton of value at that time and you took less than what you should’ve when you compare top 75 prospects traded (at the time of the deal)

It wasn't about pitch count. It was they had seen him multiple times and even in the low 70s pitches, and even though he had retired a ton of them in a row, they couldn't have had the same velocity. I didn't want them seeing him another time. That's when I would have thrown Ranger in fresh. Every run was going to matter at that point. You know more than I do but that's how I look at things. Make moves in 0-0 games before the wheels come off.

The real issue is ranger’s numbers against the dodgers aren’t good. If you are going to be successful can’t be throwing 89-91 in the zone against them or expecting them to chase.

Why I’d trade him when he has good value (after he returned played well so they can sucker someone) in the offseason and cash in on it.The top three guys are blowing hard and you’re worried about Marsh? 🤣🤣🤣
October 9, 20251 yr The last 10 big losses to the Dodgers, D-backs, and Astros that nothing, Topper, has led the Phillies offense to 2 runs a game over those 10 games. They will be lucky to get 2 runs today. Its disgusting that he is still here. Being better than Girardi for this team is not a lifetime contract.

I know he has implosion innings as well... Just feel they should of let him go another

Cause those guys suck doesn’t mean he also doesn’t suck. he also been bad and they have him hitting 5th. Furthermore, you wanna blame something on Thomson with Bohm and Marsh not hitting well, realmuto and Kepler given the best at bats this series and some of the harder hit balls. So should be hitting 4 and 5. Marsh is better lower in the order based off year long stats
