Official Philadelphia Phillies Thread - Still can't hit for crap

Yep! Would be perfect for this inept offense come playoff time. Wouldn’t have to stress about scoring 1-2 runs every night

Knowing the Phillies, they’d become the first team in playoff history to not score a run

Well, it wasn't pretty overall but they got the job done ending the trip 5-4. Not great considering the opposition but it was setup to be a trying stretch which could have really derailed the success of the last couple of months.

Time to see if we can get anything done at the deadline. Seems like a longshot to get anything significant but there must be a pitcher we can bring in to at least take a shot at helping.

He could throw in Alvarado as a sweetener with Nola for Skenes. We'll have the 5 Aces then!

What the hell might as well resign Walker and trade him too , extra sweet

One tiiit will be worth more than him in the future, knowing the way this team drafts

You wouldn’t be wrong. It’s the ultimate Phillies thing to do

I get why he felt slighted at first but now is kinda coming off as a baby

I get that POV.

But, I can see it as "I’m getting older, and recently back from injury, why burn my arm on a few exhibition innings if I’m not a first choice”

For today's Philadelphia All-Star Game throwback, let's look at the #Phillies' lone representative in 1996: Ricky Bo. Bottalico went on to throw a scoreless fifth inning.

Gurriel has been awful this year and really not the same since his acl

Gurriel is worse than the guys we currently have on the roster. Hard pass.

Painter and Miller might end up being a total loss.

Their prospect pool is rough.

"It became very clear to me sitting out there today, that every decision I've ever made, in my entire life, has been wrong. My life is the opposite of everything I want it to be. Every instinct I have, in every of life, be it something to wear, something to eat ... It's all been wrong."

The Phillies are George Costanza, whatever or whoever they feel like drafting....they need to stop, and just do the opposite!

We just drafted 20 players in the last couple days.

Mostly college players that will move through the system quickly.

Problem is that Dombrowski is already looking to trade them.

Anyone watching the homerun derby?

Me

I am, pretty decent so far except the first part of it with Will Ferrell that was the most obnoxious unfunny sheet ever

I agree, there is no need for that. It was uncomfortable. The ballpark is beautiful and I love the fans booing all the kids who aren’t catching the fly balls.

So far, 13 is the number to beat. Of course, Schwarber and Harper will be the last to go. Lol.

They should of got Nola to pitch to them lol

Not sure which one of those guys I want to win it. I think Schwarber if not I wouldn't mind seeing the Rays kid win it

Schwarber and Harper are up next. 13 is going to be tough

It's interesting to see how the personality of Bonds has changed from super surly dude to an easy-going guy. Lol.

I thought junior caminero was going to win. He may make it to the next round but it’s going to be close

Schwarber brought the normal Phillies offense to the derby

Should’ve had Nola pitch if they were serious about winning. Trade em both tomorrow
