Again, his career numbers of runners in scoring position looks good. But no team besides the Phillies have forced him to be somebody who drives in runs.

Trea being terrible at the plate puts Kyle back in the leadoff spot, you get the picture. It’s a shame really when you look at what this offense could have been

It’s a shame really when you look at what this offense could have beenI’d argue that’s a bigger failure on Dombrowski’s part. He needed a cleanup hitter for a couple years now and ignored it. If they had it arraez isn’t in that spot. Again long sucks at his job but the bigger issue is Dave ignoring a hole at cleanup for multiple years and just relying on aging jt, Bohm, inconsistent Castellanos and marsh. Now forced with Arraez .I am all for bashing long. He is really not good at his job. He’s part of the issue and should be gone. However some of this is giving him guys who were either declining, inconsistent their entire careers or guys like Bohm who have no business hitting 1-4 and became a cleanup hitter

Dave pubically announced they don’t have one so you would think he would make a change for sure considering he still has a job. My guess is Arraez is also gone after this season

My guess is Arraez is also gone after this seasonFirst, let’s hope there’s even a season next year. I’m not so sure we get more than 80 games if that. There’s a chance this thing goes all the way until July. They are really far apart. And then the whole Dodgers owner fiasco that’s going on is not gonna help matters.I would hope he would. However, free agency is not very good this year. The guy that you really need to get any fits what the Phillies need except he’s 32 years old is Randy Arozarena. And he fits perfectly in what you need cause he’s the right handed outfield bat and can hit cleanup. he probably would rake at citizens Bank Park. They have money coming off the books so you would think they would do that. But there’s going to be a big market for him.As for Arraez I’m not sure. They gave up a pretty good prospect for him. So I have a harder time believing they’re just gonna let him walk. Plus Bohm is off this roster so clear stott to play 3B or SS if you move Turner to the outfield. Really curious what they do at 3B cause miller isn’t going to be remotely ready in 2027. So could leave Turner at SS, Arraez at 2b and Stott at 3b with Harper at 1b. Frankly a lineup of schwarberTurnerHarperArozarenaArraez StottJtCrawford Marsh/ RH platoonIs pretty good. That said i think they get outbid for arozarena

September 2Sep 2 Feels like we should be up way more than 3-1 and kept the dbacks in this game like Saturday with the angels
September 2Sep 2 You can’t ask Luzardo to do much more than that tonight. Is it too much to ask the bats to score at least one more run, you know, for fun?
September 2Sep 2 If Milwaukee keeps the top spot I hope the Phillies get the WC. Let the Braves and Dodgers go at it.

September 2Sep 2 Worst case 6-3 West Coast trip which is always a success. One last game, then a travel breather, and then the meat starts.
September 2Sep 2 23 games left. With the brutal schedule they have starting this weekend, I think it would be impressive if they can go 13-10 or better. That alone gets them to 92 wins. Who would have thought that a month ago?If they want a chance to take the division, they need to go 5-2 against the Braves. Anything less doesnt get it done, unless the Braves go through another rough patch. #1 wildcard spot would be ok for me as well.

September 2Sep 2 So do I start Andrew Painter on my fantasy baseball team tonight? First round of playoffs - I'm up big right now in all the pitching categories but that could change at any second. I rolled the dice with Nola and he paid off for me.
