Hopefully Thomson is smart enough to realize Alvarado or Sir Anthony are much better options as closer. Eflin lacks a true punch out pitch which is critical for a closer.

October 12, 20224 yr Eflin has compiled a 12.00 ERA and a 2.67 WHIP so far in the playoffs. Small sample size I get it, but he needs to be pulled from the closer role.

Not sure if Dominguez is even available today, but Alvarado and Dominguez need to be their go-to for the 8th and 9th.
