October 12, 20224 yr Actually thought about this when i saw rain might delay and stop the game. I’d push wheeler to Friday and nola to Saturday. Each get extra rest. But also better forecast. Add on wheeler matches up with Morton. Morton hasn’t been good on the road as he’s 3-5 with a 5.72 ERA. So it’s advantage Phillies. Game 4 it’s nola vs. odorizzi or strider who’s coming off an injury and hasn’t pitched in a month. Still advantage Phillies as strider likely only goes 3-4 innings. The thing is the Phillies were never going to get wheeler and nola more than 1 start. the thought to just use them in Philly where no rain is in the forecast isn’t all that crazy and hope syndergaard can come through for you today as it’s likely stop and start with rain
October 12, 20224 yr While we're on physics, it always annoyed me that commentators talk about a pitcher's "velocity," but velocity is a vector quantity (speed+direction), not a scalar quantity. They never mention the ball's direction. So, the word they're looking for is simply "speed," but I guess they want to sound fancy.

October 12, 20224 yr I’d be pretty close to moving schwarber down in the lineup. When his obp is 0 and 0-13 then you have to get someone that is better. Especially when we have other guys hitting well
