I think the negativity is a bit over the top. It was one loss. Before the playoffs started, if I had told you they’d not only make the NLCS but take it back to Philly with the series tied at 1-1, every single person here would have taken that in a heartbeat. 
 

It’s the most recent game so I get how that can affect your view of the whole series, but the fact is it was one game out of 7. I still feel good about their chances.

Agreed. Too early to start panicking. **** loss but we have three straight games at home. Just need to take 2/3 this weekend.

I actually think the Phillies go falter in game 4 as he’s a lefty which matches up better and how Thomson talked about game 4 last night saying it’d be similar to a game like game 4 against atlanta but wouldn’t say it was thor.

I really have a hard time seeing anyone beat the Astros this year. They can hit, their rotation is the best in baseball, their long relievers are guys like hunter brown who in a year from now might be a 2-3 starter and eventual ace. Their bullpen is damn good. They haven’t lost a game yet, if draft kings gave odds for over/under losses set at 2.5 I’d probably take the under. Not sure the Yankees win more than a game against them if that.

I just watched the Nolan Ryan doc on Netflix and hit the part where he was responsible for 5 Phillies runs in the top of the 8th in 1980. I guess Nola can be forgiven eventually.

I wonder if the series is tied at 2-2 if the Phillies send nola to San Diego on sunday morning so he can be there and rested instead of flying out with the team after the game on Sunday. I’m guessing not but there’s no celebration in game 5 at that point and he can get there and not have to get there in the early hours of monday morning. 

Tonight is pretty much a must win. 

 

 

They lose this game the series is likely over.  Ranger needs to pitch the game of his life 

I hope Castellanos doesn’t kill us again.

I’m actually more worried about Suarez killing us. Musgrove is good so i expect it to be low scoring. Suarez over the past month you had no clue what Suarez you were getting
