Stubbs has managed to actually become worse than Andrew Knapp.

I’m guessing it’s not coming til next year. They won’t use him in the playoffs unless something happens to realmuto. Frankly I’m surprised the Phillies haven’t drafted a catcher relatively high knowing JT realmuto is getting older and his contract is done in 2 years and Eduardo Tait is 17 and likely not close to the mlb for another 4 years according to most projections. We probably should’ve been drafting one relatively high after we dealt o’happe or knowing we were thinking about trading him away. So that when realmuto got to the end you had him ready or hopes of one to be ready

wtf is Bohm swinging at in that at bat. Literally only the 3rd pitch was remotely close to a strike of the first 4. then strikeout is a ball right down the middle that he doesn’t swing at

He was expecting a slider away and got crossed up with a 2 seamer that backed up right over the plate. Completely froze him. Good pitch

This is looking like a loss couldn’t score in the 10th

He got set up cause he gave bender two quick strikes swinging at absolute garbage in the first two pitches. Both pitches were in the other batters box. At that point you got to be swinging at anything close to the zone regardless of what you were expecting.

Soto on the mound so it’s gonna be a walk off

also this extra inning rule is still stupid. Especially now that the game is shorter anyway due the pitch clock.

Soto = loss

I agree the runner on 2nd is not a good idea, I get that mlb wants shorter games but I just don’t like it

They couldn’t hit when they needed to late in the game, but this goes back to what I said what they should’ve let turnbull pitch more then an inning. You have him in the bullpen now and he’s capable of being an innings eater and multiple innings. He only threw 18 pitches. You probably could’ve at least gotten one more inning out of him. And it would’ve pushed Alvarado, strahm then Hoffman back to the 8th, 9th and 10th. Instead, you were going to be forced to use Soto or Dominguez if you couldn’t get it done in 9.

Yeah they could've definitely gone another inning with Turnbull. I think bottom line for today overall is Zack had a bad day.

Yeah was wheeler’s biggest issue last year. His performances against the Nats were similar to his performance today against the marlins. Frankly you score 6 vs. Miami you easily should win that game. This marlins team is awful.

Absolutely if Wheeler goes 6 and gives up 1 or 2 runs it’s a different story. Wheels lost the game. 3-0 lead should’ve been over right there

Call me contrarian but I like it a lot.  It definitely amps up the drama … the entertainment value. Definitely not boring.

Was at the game today. Down here for a work conference so got to squeeze it in. Honestly I felt somewhat bad for the 47 marlins fans that were there so I wasn’t too upset that we lost in extras.

What's the stadium like?  It looks huge and cavernous.  I don't recall ever seeing the roof open during a Phillies game, or any game I've seen taking place there.

It was ok. Cool in that it’s new and interesting with the roof and the huge windows in the outfield but you’re not really looking at anything worth seeing outside the windows. They had a nice marlins museum tucked away in one area, and a bobble head display of all these bobble heads from every team which was neat. Of the 8 baseball stadiums I’ve been to it’s probably towards the bottom though. Baseball is an outdoor sport…

Is JT hurt? I missed why Stubbs is starting for the 2nd game in a row

Nice job by Stubbs on the bunt to get a run across. Unfortunately Rojas didn’t swing at the two best pitches prior and marsh hit it back to the pitcher on the first pitch

What happened?

What happened?

Soreness of his knee

Looks like Turnbull might be replacing Snachez in the rotatio soon and Rojas is a terrible CF, bad break on the double and almost cost them a run with the bobble

Nothing like our guys continuously just watching perfect pitches and not swinging.
