July 4, 20242 yr Gone under the radar but Sanchez at CBP this year is 1.35 ERA. Going into this game he was 4.32 on the road.

July 4, 20242 yr That’ll do it. Dominguez has also been lousy in his last 5 appearances after being great for a month. 4.2 IP and given up 5 runs (2 ERs), 6 hits and 2 walks frankly just let Ruiz pitch the last 3 innings so you don’t waste your bullpen.
July 4, 20242 yr 1 minute ago, DrPhilly said: Oh my. What happened? Last I looked it was 2-0 Sanchez imploded and then Dominguez gave up a 3 run bomb.
July 4, 20242 yr Would be pretty happy if we got either bellinger or happ at the deadline. Kind of think need the cubs to continue free falling into the deadline
July 4, 20242 yr Phillies pitchers be like I ain’t pitching an inning without giving up at least a run today

July 4, 20242 yr 1 minute ago, Joe Shades 73 said: At least it wasn't 6.....only positivity I can come up with The irritating thing about it is, they were making Taillon work. He had 59 pitches thru 4 innings. So you were likely going to knock him out earlier if you kept it up. Then the next two innings they saw 14 pitches.

Frustrating day, as long as they don't get swept in Atlanta they will have a decent lead

Thats the one game where they have the definitive advantage pitching. friday: fried vs. nola Saturday: Ranger vs schwallenbach sunday: Mercado vs. lopez.

Yeah, Ruiz would make sense. I said Dominguez cuz he sucked anyway. Now Soto is sucking too. Just seems like a waste in a game they have almost no chance of winning.
July 4, 20242 yr Bullpen since the start of the marlins series has been pretty poor. 20 IP, 11 ERs and 22 Hits

Yeah, I didn’t understand after Dominguez gave up the three run homer to make it 8-2, why the next inning they didn’t just use Ruiz to finish out the last 3 innings. go into Atlanta having everybody in your arsenal besides Dominguez and Ruiz for the first game. Potentially need your BP in the first game as nola hasn’t pitched well in Atlanta 2 out of the last 3 years. 2023: 5.25 ERA, 2022: 2.93 and 2021: 7.20

July 4, 20242 yr 11 minutes ago, Joe Shades 73 said: Long season can’t expect perfection. Bullpen is fine I think they’re ultimately gonna be fine. But I would like to add another reliever at the deadline. I don’t fully trust Dominguez, Soto, Marte or Ruiz. Which means in the playoffs you are down to Orion, Hoffman, Alvarado and strahm in the pen who you can. I think you’d like to have 5 guys you fully trust and then in your back pocket Dominguez and Soto. I also think the Phillies can’t just go into the deadline and just get depth guys in the outfield. They can’t do what they did the last couple years of minor moves. the Dodgers are going to make a splash and frankly i don’t think the Phillies are that much better where they can sit and just say we are good while they do that. Have to be willing to sacrifice future prospects to get the bat you desperately need in the outfield. You wouldn’t be in this predicament of having to give up some of those prospects if you just made the move in the off-season. But you didn’t want to do it so now you have to in order to give yourself the best chance possible at winning a World Series this year which might be your best opportunity.
