Hoffman was bad. But Thomson is just as dumb for leaving him in after he walked the bases loaded. At that point you take him out cause you could see he didn’t have it. This is a Thomson problem lately. He makes bad decisions then compounds them by not doing what anyone can see 

Shocking JT sucks with RISP. The analytics for 2 years have told you this. Yet the Phillies who like to think they are an analytic organization keeps using him in that middle of the lineup 

I’d rather be a city that never has their hopes up. The past 3-4 years have been so demoralizing.

What makes it more infuriating is that the third ball to haniger was the same Fing pitch he called Bryce Harper out on strikes. Literally the exact same location that he called the strike the inning before.

The Phillies don’t need help losing right now so the umpires can actually get Fing calls right.

Its just bad all around anymore. They just said on post game live that the ump was bad on both sides.

I’d argue he was far worse for the Phillies in critical spots than the mariners. He screwed Harper in the 9th where it’s 1st and 2nd with 1 out if he gets the call right. And then screwed estevez in the 10th. Mariners got far better calls late in that game then the Phillies did
