May 18May 18 Since April 25, the Phillies starting pitching is 5th in WAR and bullpen is 1st. This is why I trust Cotham He is very good at getting their pitchers to look good and pitch well (Nola i think is a lost cause at this point). The only time I can remember that their pitchers just completely let them down was that 2024 postseason against the Mets. Where their bullpen was just awful. Besides the fact, they had kimbrel out there in the diamondback series, which I really can’t blame him as much. he got like four good months out of him, and the Phillies were too stupid to realize he was gonna implode the last three months of the yearThe offense is roughly slightly above average over the same time. They really need to go and get a right fielder that can hit for power. Garcia has the same amount of home runs and less RBIs than Bryson Stott. I would also say a third baseman. But Alec bohm has actually been very good lately. Last 21 games his slashes are .288/.326/.425/.751. Whether or not he continues that who knows.

If painter and nola continue to struggle with no improvement and he does very well in double A might get him after the all star break or around there. Give him a couple starts to see if they need to trade for a starter
