The Padres want to host I’m guessing. They have a lot of motivation to win.

That may be true. I think the Padres would rather have their starting rotation set up for that wildcard. That to me is way more important than the home-field advantage. Because if you have to go with your third and fourth starter for the first and second game you’re not gonna be in a very good shape. Especially against the cubs

Frankly, he should be fired anyways because his roster for how much they’re paying shouldn’t be anywhere near this bad in multiple areas

I see it another way. They are going to squeak in and then lose in two games. Probably scoring 8+ runs in the last game regular season game and then get blanked.
