Love Josh Sweat. This was heart wrenching to watch.

We’re not trading a young and talented WR that just broke the WR catch record and went over 1000 yards in just his second season.

The chances of hitting on another WR in the draft that would replicate that is slim (less than 5% 10% chance) and we’d lose the draft pick on top.

zero chance that happens

I don’t think we should do it but I wouldn’t say there’s zero chance. Paying a QB $45-50 mil/season and two WRs $20+ mil would be very tough. Obviously that’s a problem for the 2024 offseason, at the earliest.

Has Stella been told about this?

My wife has Covid, so I’m trying to take care of our son while avoiding getting it myself.  The plan was to have a bunch of people over for some drinks in the man cave all day, but now it’s survival mode.

Protocols and priorities, Doc...Good thoughts for the wife...

Or… hit on a WR in the draft and trade Davonta next offseason 😵

It's going to take some very very creative work from Howie.  He's getting a ton of credit for getting this team where they are but the real trick is going to be how he keeps this team together.  If Howie finds out a way to extend Hurts and keep AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith Eagles for the next 8 years I'll be impressed.

The thought of trading Smith sounds ludacris right now BUT, if you're looking ahead you have to look at your assets and he very well could be an expiring asset. He's my favorite Eagle right now and I want him here for the long haul.  DeAndre Hopkins and a 4th brough back an overpaid running back, 2nd and 4th.  Not enough for me to even consider trading Smith.

If I'm Howie, my trade chips after this season are Quez Watkins, Jack Driscoll and I'm afraid to say Darius Slay.

But none of that matters yet.  Beat the 49ers.

Wings, baking powder method.

Pat them and then toss the wings in dry rub with baking powder.  Bake at 250 for 30 mins.  Them pull them out, preheat the oven to 450 and then bake them again, another 40 mins or so.   Turn them over halfway through.  Then toss with sauce.

The first bake time renders out all of the fat under the skin which usually keeps the sauce from sticking to the wings.

This isn’t the exact same as frying them, but it’s the best way to try and replicate it.

I’ve got 2 separate crock pots going. Nothing crazy today.  Whiskey bbq meatballs in one. Bacon wrapped smokies with brown sugar and pineapple juice in another.  People go nuts for the smokies probably just bc they’re individually wrapped in bacon.

I’d much rather have your wings. 😂

There are ways to prorate Smiths signing bonuses and larger payout years so that they would complement AJ’s contract (in terms of cap hits)

And this guy is a master at it…

Hey do you know the best way to fit 2 $20 million WRs and a $50 mil QB on the same roster?

I think brown walks or restructures when its time to extend Smith

i think that was the plan all along for the next 2-3 years. Hurts deal will have an out then too

About to sit down to a breakfast of French Toast, bacon, cheese grits, and fresh squeezed orange juice from just-picked oranges from one of our two trees

Nice!

What about the next three hours?

You can keep your paninis, chianti and smoked gouda.  I'm going green chile huevos rancheros, carne asada and massive quantities of Pacifico down here in ol' Mexico.

We’ll see. Either way he needs to do better in the draft

Howie has been good in the draft. It’s all relative, no one hits on every pick.
