Wow, national media is making it sound like the Eagles only won cause the 49ers didn't challenge that Smith catch and knocked Purdy out. Yeah, I think a few are right that Hurts isn't right physically because of how off he was, but they are downgrading the win big time.

Reddick destroyed them.

He was the difference.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Carson Wentz had 3 backup QB's during his time in Philadelphia.

Chase Daniel
Nick Foles
Jalen Hurts

The two that replaced him for significant portions of seasons, have both led the Eagles to Super Bowls.

Yeah, I do worry about Hurts being hurt worse than he lets on. He threw the ball so well against the Giants at the start did he take a hit late in that game or something? I saw him make a face today when he landed on it after a run, but he seemed alright accuracy wise last week.

If it wasn't physical was it something mental because of the 49ers? Then again they have made many QB look that way this year, so it could be that as well. I'm worry about him getting that fixed in the next two weeks and hope he gets it figured out. The two weeks will do him good regardless of what it is and I pray he looks like he did against the Giants again.

In case anyone was wondering, we did NOT win the lottery for Super Bowl tickets.

Okay. Do you know who did?

Didn’t see this posted. I think we might potentially see the last games of graham, Cox and kelce in an eagles uniform in 2 weeks

Actually of those three, Graham is the most likely to return in my opinion.

In a rotational role after the Eagles draft an edge rusher RD1.

My vision board says Tyree Wilson.

Hurts obviously is not 100%.

Neither is Mahomes though.

Super Bowl will be a toss up of the two best teams.

Eagles will dominate in the trenches.

I like their chances if they play to their strengths.

Yeah, and at the end of the day the 49ers have made many QB look that way, so hopefully it was just that.

Tbh the eagles have the best oline in the league. Could argue the chiefs have the second best. So the eagles pass rush might be facing the best oline it’s seen all year. Chiefs are the no. 1 in pass block win rate and 3rd in run block win rate. So it’s going to be a really good matchup

Mahomes is the better Qb when fully healthy. I don’t think either are going to be. I do think the eagles have more high end talent at WR, but chiefs have more depth. Travis kelce is really the guy the eagles can’t let beat them but it’s easier said then done. Pacheco has come on strong in the postseason and McKinnon is a solid receiving weapon. I’d say a poor man’s James white for the chiefs. Sanders, gainwell and Scott have been pretty terrific. I think the major edge the eagles have in this game is the eagles secondary is healthy and significantly better than the chiefs. I’m guessing Snead is back for the SB but that secondary is ok not great and goedert can do what kelce normally does to LB and safeties

i suspect it’s likely going to be a 33-30 type of game. You just hope you have the ball last.

He for sure sold it. Like he was gonna get a call regardless because he’s Patrick Mahomes and you hit him somewhat out of bounds. But he sold the crap out of that when falling to the ground.

I suspect a side by side frame by frame analysis of the Bengals penalty and the 49ers penalty would show distinct similarities between them.

Eh the bengals player definitely didn’t full on two hand shove the player on the back. He was still pursuing the play and trying to make a play. I think he lost track of where he was on the field. Hufanga wasn’t he just was frustrated and took it out on hurts. Both were penalties but i think hufanga’s was more malicious intent and i don’t think hurts sold it. Mahomes definitely sold it on the ground

How much pressure did Cincy put on them today I couldn't watch the second game?  I'm not sure they have faced a line like the one coming for them.

Don’t really get this. They didn’t just give away Jimmy G for nothing. They suffered and played in an improbable 4 QB injury season.  Not sure what else they should do.

Yeah, it kinda reminded me of the ‘91 Eagles, who had a legendary defense but were forced to go through quarterback after quarterback throughout the year because of injuries. By the time they hit the home stretch with the playoffs on the line, they were down to their fifth guy, a veteran they signed off the street to start. Ish happens sometimes. I don’t remember the national media crying about our misfortune, so I’m not gonna throw a pity party for the 49ers right now.

Bengals had some decent pressure got 3 sacks and 5 Qb hits. However even with mahomes ankle injury he was doing a good job avoiding some more and keeping plays alive. Frankly i thought after the chiefs got up 13-3 that the bengals looked like the better team for the majority of the rest of the game but the chiefs defense and ST made plays in the biggest moments down the stretch. Burrow threw a pick on a beautiful play by the chiefs. Then jones got a sack to end a drive. Then moore had a big time return (granted there was definitely two blocks in the back not called but they didn’t call it so it doesn’t matter). Tbh i think the bengals oline issues finally caught up to them cause I think with a better oline they likely would’ve scored more than 20

I think the Eagles will give them fits and wear them out by the end with their depth. On the other side Jones will be shut down by Lane, and the Eagles will pull it out if Hurts is back to himself. We will have to see about Dickerson as well. They just ran it against the best run team in the league. If he plays they will roll over them.

We will yeah but hey to be the best you have to beat the best.

Jones plays DT a lot. They can move him around but I’m guessing they are gonna try to get him matched up with seumalo as that’s "weakest” link on the oline unless Dickerson can’t go. Frank Clark is likely the majority of the time going to go up against mailata. Lane is likely getting karlafitis/Dunlap and occasionally jones when they move him out there

Parsons wants to play for us so bad

FWIW what the 49ers are feeling right now is why the Eagles drafted Hurts.

The last game before the Hurts draft was the Josh McCown playoff game.

They refused to ignore the backup QB position and invested heavy in talent.

Yeah, what were they thinking?

Everyone knows you should have five starting caliber quarterbacks available at all times.

Could this be the year that "people are people" and "players are players"?

The irony is that if you've ever played a sport, been in the military, been in a close nit sales team, church group, etc you would know that none of that stuff matters.  It's usually people on the "outside" that make an issue of it.  But your brother is your brother and your sister is your sister - no matter skin color, race, culture, creed, etc.  At the end of the day, it's that simple.

You know the world we live in?

I wonder how Jerruh feels about that. Last time we won the Bowl, I remember Jones mentioning how he screamed into his pillow, or something to that effect.
