Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I’ll say it. The Eagles on offense yesterday were at best a C

At best....yet they still scored 31 on the 49ers vaunted defense.  All those who want to blame the loss on not having a quarterback, that defense gave up 31 to a below average Eagles offensive performance.  Let's hope they bring their A game in the SB.

C was good enough when this D throws out an S tier performance. It was beautiful

Very quickly has become my 2nd favorite Eagle after Kelce. What an amazing talent, and so unheralded by the national media. All this kid does is run superb routes and make some of the toughest toe-tapping sideline catches I've ever seen. His body control is off the charts. Built like Pinkston, plays like Moss.

Unfortunately we were permanently robbed of seeing Linval (ECU Pirate btw 💪) rumble 50 yards for a FR touchdown 😢

Yep, he's tremendous.  Hated the thought of the Eagles getting him, love him now. Interestingly enough, Moss was quite the twig too.

I preferred to play the Chiefs over the Bengals.

Bengals are the team that most resembles us. Upper tier QB. Upper tier RB. Legit weapons at WR. We have a TE, they have a better 3rd WR. Both have good defense. Its a very even mathcup. Our advantage was our DL against their OL.

On the other hand, the Chiefs have a D which will be easier to exploit. And their WRs are not really scary. Smith-Schuster is pretty good. Hes their top WR. Thats not good enough. Obviously Kelce is elite and will make plays. Obviously Mahomes is the equalizer. He is gimpy and we will force him to run around a bunch. Or, he is going to have to dink and dunk us to death. But that limits how much they can score, and they will likely score less than us. Mahomes occasionally has some multi-interception games. I suspect our D has a chance to force him in to one of those games. If anyone has a chance to do that, its us. They are so good on offense, but just much less scary when lacking the explosiveness of Hill.

Kelce almost didnt even play due to some back issue. Toney got hurt. Hardman got hurt.... 2 weeks can make a big difference for some of those guys. But, as of now, theyre kind of beat up on offense.

Its gonna be tough. But, we can handle it.

The Eagles have a more talented roster with the exception of QB.  The key is beating Mahomes without pressure from blitzing. Mahomes may be the best QB in the League but his strength relies on his ability to move in the pocket and create. I don't think they can shut down their offense but they should be able to limit their big plays and make them work to get downfield.

She's already better than Sirianni at it.

Who remembers someone here arguing in September that the Eagles "should have drafted Jaylen Waddle" instead of trading down and getting DeVonta Smith and a first round pick (that you could argue became AJ Brown)? In other words, the franchise would be better off if their top two receivers were Waddle and Watkins rather than Smith and Brown.

There's occasional comedy in this thread, folks.

I think a younger Suh would have been in the fight instead of being peacekeeper lol

After that 4th down catch, his only concern was getting the team to the line quickly. He doesn't get up and celebrate every catch.

True...has some Marvin Harrison in him that way.

That defense was also constantly on the field because 49ers literally couldnt move the ball through the air. We eventually tired out their defense. The TOP says a lot and theres context to that 31 points.

TBF, most of us loved the trade when it happened.

I'll put myself in the "wrong" category on DeVonta Smith.  I was concerned about his build and he wasn't my top choice in that draft at WR.

I liked Pitts and Chase a lot but knew they were out of reach when the Eagles traded back to #12 overall.  I liked Waddle a lot -- but more as a 16-20 overall pick (very surprised he went #6 overall, although he's been excellent so far as well).  I do remember saying if I was Howie I'd have been very tempted to stay put, let DAL draft Parsons and the Giants take Smith, then make the trade with the Bears for them to draft Fields and pick up another 1st round pick in the process.

Good thing for all Eagles fans I'm not Howie.

Tuning in now. Thx

Fun fact, Miles Sanders, Frank Clark and Chad Henne all played in the Big33, continuing the streak of every SB having a Big33 player.  Shame the game has totally lost it's luster but still neat to see the streak continue.

We might not see LJ play another snap given what the Chiefs do - paging Bobby Quinn.

I love this kid

Saban drilled it in his head

Statistically, the Chiefs are better on defense than I thought, but the eye test from the games I've seen doesn't back that up.

I don't think they're bad by any means, but they're #2 in sacks. Although Spags does like to blitz.

Even worse, go back to the Sirianni hiring.

People insisted that the Eagles were stuck with him b/c no one else wanted the job. They refused to believe that Sirianni nailed it with his interview.

But reading about the decision, I had flashbacks to Andy Reid and his binder, he knew who he was going to hire when he was HC, with 2nd and 3rd choices lined up - and Sirianni had a similar level of preparation - and that's what I think sold them. Fans think in terms of Xs and Os, but you hire guys to do that - the most important the HC does is act as the COO of the team, and that requires a high level of organization and managerial skill.

Sirianni passed his tests with flying colors.
