Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I was a big fan of his too. He really hasn’t panned out. I actually think a change of scenery might help him. Besides bosa the niners pass rush this year wasn’t very good (sack number wise)

I can admit that Maddox getting hurt and CJGJ being out in the 2nd Dallas game hurt the team but giving up 3rd and 30 by playing soft coverage?

I think the blueprint to losing the SB would be playing soft zone vs Mahomes and Kelce.

Again, I don't expect it but we are not inventing Gannon's prior flaws, some fairly recent.

I don't think anyone has called on him to be fired lately and he's got some praise (I don't care who the QB is on the other team 7 points a game is great)

I would have to give him A+ for both playoff games.

We don't have to trust him yet based on past failings. I can't think of a bigger weakness going into the SB then the remote possibility of him bizarrely reverting to 85% completions DC.

I think the criticism that Gannon has gotten is undeserved. He’s had head-scratching game plans at times, but on the whole he’s been a very good DC this season. But I think everyone’s expectations are going to be elevated going against KC. The past three games were against Jones and literally no QB the other day. Mahomes and this offense are going to put points up and big time drives together. It’s just what they do and it really doesn’t matter who the DC is. The biggest key to this game will be forcing turnovers. Get the offense extra possessions to allow them to put up 30+ because that’s what it’s going to take. Anything less than that probably won’t get it done.

We all knew if they were going to get this far it was going to be against a killer QB whether Mahomes, Burrow, or Allen. This defense has struggled the past two seasons against very good quarterbacks, but most defenses do. So that’s why to me it’s not as much being concerned about giving up a lot of yards or 20+ points, versus forcing a few turnovers to give the offense more opportunities.

Just rewatched the game. I was surprised how little the Eagles blitz and yet they were in the backfield all game.

No idea what Stoll was doing on that almost safety from Bosa, could have chipped him at minimum. I get that he was trying to run a route, but at that point give up your route to protect your QB from a completely unblocked DE.

9ers had an opportunity for their defense to step up after they tied the game. Eagles marched right down the field and scored to take the lead again.

I think Gainwells skill set was much needed for this game. He is very decisive and just hit the hole fast. Doesn't spend much time trying to cut or read in the backfield. 9ers are too fast to have the RB read and react.

Even saw Dillard get a little chippy with Greenlaw.

I look at the Chiefs game this way, you really have to look and see what the Bengals were able to do against the Chiefs. The Chiefs offense the last 3 games they have faced the bengals have scored 24, 24 and 23. that’s not eye popping but it’s better than a lot of teams have been able to do against the Chiefs. Additionally in second half of those 3 games against the chiefs they were able to hold the chiefs to  27 points which is about 9 points on average in each second half. (Frankly if not for an unnecessary roughness it might have actually been 8 points on average). in the 4th quarter of the last three games they’ve held the chiefs to 0,0 and 3 points.

If you can hold the Chiefs to 23 points, then I think you have a really good chance of winning this game because I think you could score more points than what the Bengals did. Frankly, because your oline is better, you have the weapons and Qb to do it.

Don’t know if this was posted but it’s encouraging if it is the actual diagnosis.

I anticipate by the Super Bowl kickoff Mahomes will be about 90% healthy, but to me the game rests on Eagles DL vs Chiefs OL.  Mahomes’ mobility will still be somewhat compromised and, the more hits the Eagles can put on him, his effectiveness will diminish with each hit.  I don’t see the Chiefs being able to establish a run game, and I’m not sure they try for very long.

Mahomes holds the ball longer than most QBs; certainly longer than most elite QBs.  Each season he’s been in the league he’s been over 2.8 seconds average time to throw.  This season he was 2.89 seconds.  Even against the Bengals yesterday on a high ankle sprain, 2.94 seconds.  He’s going to hold the ball waiting for routes to develop because that’s who he is.

If the Eagles pass rush can win against the Chiefs the way it did against the Niners, I think Mahomes will have a rough day.  Not as rough as against the Bucs when he had no OL, but I think they’ll be held under 24 points.

Landon is a great player and monstrous human, but how the hell do you get destroyed LIKE THAT in the NFL. Kinlaw needs to look in the mirror

BG just wrecked the "best" LT in the league.

Mailata is just an animal.

Funny how they covered Kittle yesterday but have no hope of covering Kelce from some of the things I've watched on YouTube. The "they had an easy path" stuff is BS as well. There wasn't anything wrong with the 49ers D yesterday and the OL changed things up and threw them around. They can beat Ryan but not Spags. OK.

Rewatching the game, and holy cow Dre Greenlaw was unraveling early. On the play Hurts got popped, Greenlaw legit speared him. Dove helmet first into his back.

What a loser.

Our O-Line is to O-lines what Patrick Mahomes is to QBs. I can literately watch them OBLITERATE opposing D-lines for days. They are so f'in nasty, they took turns tossing Nick Bosa around ffs.

I'm all in for drafting another blue-chip O-Lineman in the first to plug in at RG and to eventually kick out to RT.

Also upon rewatch… Jordan Davis had a good game!

Stumbled upon these guys a while ago. They're guys from the UK who knew absolutely nothing about American football, and have been slowly learning about it through crowdsourcing on Youtube and watching here and there and other things. They're casual fans who only watch a few games, but I think it's cool watching people in other countries learn about our sport. They each adopted a team to root for. The guy on the left adopted the Eagles.

But it's cool to see how far they've come. They literally knew nothing about the sport when they first started. They didn't even know what a first down was. Now they know most of the rules and can carry on a conversation and know a lot of the players and fully understand what's happening.

The guy on the right lived in the US for about a decade when he was younger and has an understanding of the game, although some of his views and facts are outright wrong. He's a Giants fan. The other two guys are complete novices. Been watching their videos for a couple years now, thought not so much lately. Didn't realize that the two new guys picked favorite teams to root for and that the one guy actually picked the Eagles.

If the Eagles win the Super Bowl the 49ers are my guess as that team they open the NFL season against on Thursday night.  It's really them or the Cowboys as the option.

I would guess it's the Dolphins.

We all know last year the D was not very good. And we can reason that it didnt yet have the proper personnel to run it the way it was supposed to be run. Some of us said it needs an NT and it needs an LB.

We got those things, and it took off.

We also know, the eagles lollygagged through some of those late season games thinking they were the better team and could win based on talent along. Keeping things close to the vest prior to playoffs. The teams they finished the season against were teams they were likely to see again very soon in the playoffs.

I put 0 stock in to what Dak did to us in that game.

The Giants game was a hell of a lot closer too, the 2nd time around. And then look what we did to them when it counted.

Gannon and his D have proven themselves to be elite all season long.

No. The only game that mattered this year for the defense was Christmas Eve. And they were obliterated. The other eighteen games are irrelevant.
