Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I assume when the eagles win the super bowl you will quip, " yeah but who did they play?😒

Nope.  Unlike you guys, the only thing I care about is winning the game at the end.  You guys are enamored with individual awards and stupid stats.

So you can jump out now, or when I get to work on my PC, same goes for you and @SkippyX, you sure you wanna ride this train ??

Brady finally Retires on the same year the Eagles will win their 2nd Super Bowl.   His last Playoff Win was against Jalen and the Eagles.   His last playoff loss was against Dak and the Cowboys.   His last regular season victory was against the Panthers.   Tom will forever live with the fact his Best Super Bowl Performance of All Time was also his final Super Bowl Loss against the Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

Not even close.  That game was a classic example of a team being behind all game tends to bloat passing numbers.  He threw for 505 yards, but he was a pedestrian 28-for-48 and left quite a bit on the field with a poor first half.  He was throwing to wide open receivers all game, while Foles was throwing dimes into tighter windows.

Foles clearly outplayed Brady in that game

Brady knew that- which is why he wouldn't shake Foles hand. Brady is a classless POS. But he also had an amazing career- that will likely never be topped.

It is what it is.

I would gladly go to any party with Hurts and Foles. Hurts could get a great laugh when I tell him my original thoughts on him and Foles could sign my super bowl jersey

And he dropped a pass...

Fellas, I’m a bit freaked out. I feel totally calm and confident about this game. Something must not be right as I’m usually scurred with respect to these big games.

Update: confidence level waning. Having dreams of KC running roughshod over us (actually had one where they scored 75 points!). Yep, I’m getting scurred.

Get a dog...😉

I'll believe Tom Brady is actually retired when week 1 kickoff comes around and he's still not on a roster. And even then it won't end. Every time a starting QB gets hurt it's going to be nothing but "Will they be on the phone with Tom Brady asking him to come out of retirement?"

Good luck having their small CBs press AJ.

If Willie Gay doesn't play, we may run for 200 yards again. We don't struggle running against teams with good DL. We can struggle against teams with good LBs.

it would be a fitting capper to his Eagles career if Miles Sanders runs for 150 yards and is in the MVP discussion.  It will no doubt increase the amount he eventually signs for as UFA.

Breathe, bro. Breathe.

Lots of time left before the game. We already got that first ring. Nobody wants to see us come up short, but everything will be fine if we do. Outside of Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones, nobody on that team is really all that concerning. Maybe Pacheco too because he's playing with his hair on fire the last couple weeks, but we have the talent to handle these guys.

I’d have to say Travis Kelce is a bit concerning as well. I think we have a great chance to win, but I can see him being a thorn in our sides.

Meh. He’s only the best pass-catching tight end of all-time. Big deal.

True, not sure how I forgot to include him.

Don’t want him back but would be totally happy for him. Mutually beneficial success.

That is my opinion as well.

Miles has had a terrific season. Been very impressed with his running this year, less dancing and more decisiveness. Been solid in protection too. I’d like him back if the money works.

If MVS, Sky Moore, etc. beats us, so be it.

Can't let Kelce beat us on offense. Bradberry or Slay should be covering him on 3rd down.

RBs have become the odd man out in the salary cap equation, IMO. It’s one of the positions where a rookie can come in and have an immediate impact. Also the one where the tread on the tires comes off fast and is most noticeable. I’d be okay with the Eagles using as high a pick as round 2 to get a back that has power and speed to match with Gainwell. First round I want the top tackle at 10 as Johnson’s successor and a CB with the second first rounder. Sign CJGJ is what I would use the $$ on instead of a RB.

Only way Miles is back is if it’s a super team friendly deal. If a team wants to break the bank then good for him and he should take it. I think we’re seeing a preview in what they expect from Gainwell next season. With this type of offensive line play, it’ll always be a running back by committee group and it should be.

They just broke the '85 Bears sack record.

I will address the outright lie first.

First off, the 85 Bears regular season was not the sack record, it was the 12th overall regular season sack total.  The 84 Bears were #1, and the 87 Bears were tied for 3rd with the 2022 Eagles.

Those teams also played less regular season games.

Secondly, I will assume you are adding playoff sacks to regular season to come up with this, which is also false.  Here is the total sacks for those 4 teams including playoff games.  Eagles still rank 3rd, and to break the 84 Bears record, they will have played two more games, and still need 5 sacks.

In a non-Cap world I would want him back too, but unfortunately I don’t see the money working in this Capped world.

He's done.  He was cooked this season; almost as bad as Big Ben in his last two years.  No way the Bucs would ever take him back with the dysfunction he brought this year (Leftwich lost his job because of their terrible offense he and Brady cooked up).  He can't throw downfield consistently anymore and he's terrified of being hit.
