This dude takes an unprovoked shot at a former blog member who isn't here to defend himself and then tries to call out someone else for purse swinging in the very next post? I know self-awareness is severely lacking these days, but wow.

Take it easy on him. He’s under a lot of pressure driving up and down the East Coast peddling chicken fingers.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Possibly, but if Lance has a terrible year I think Shanahan/Lynch might panic and bring in a veteran vs hoping a 7th round pick who hasn't played in over a year is the answer. That roster is too good to waste.

This and Brady retirement also opens the door wide for Rodgers to go home

Was looking to see when it was filed, where did you see 2019 ??

The indictment stems from an incident in December 2019. Sills allegedly "engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual and held a victim against her will," officials said. The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation after the alleged crime was immediately reported.

If he was indicted an arrest is imminent so of course he's going to be cut.

Forget the SB. I'd feel this way if we went 0-17.

Cut Josh Sills. Rape/Kidnapping? No place on this team.

"BASED"

Agree and I dont care who it was- Sills, Johnson, Hurts, Siri- Buh Bye.

So I know for the draft, teams do their due diligence and all prospects undergo background checks. But since Sills was a UDFA, is it possible he fell through the cracks and the team didn't bother to look into this? Seems out of character for the team to find out but then just sweep something like this under the rug for a guy who went undrafted.

Doesn't it seem weird that the 49ers can't get a QB to stay healthy?  It's probably the one missing piece.

I wasn't sold on Purdy.  Maybe he becomes consistently good over time.  If they somehow got Brady to be a 49er then it's most likely they are coming out of the NFC next year.

They'd have to carry him over the finish line the same way that the Broncos carried the shell of Peyton Manning over the finish line for his swan song.  Brady isn't even close to what Brady was.

Did I say it was offense?  Once again your purse swinging is misaligned.

justrelax analyzes plays by the Offense.  FranklinFldEBUpper analyzes Special Teams plays.  By calling out justrelax your spite cannon was misaligned.  It helps to get your facts straight.

That sucks for him.  I feel bad for him.

I would have a hard time believing they didn't know something. Especially when they decided to release Herbig and than keep Sills on the 53.

This is a team that knew about prospects stealing an X-Box from a dorm room.

The local talk radio hosts said yesterday that Lance won’t be ready when Training Camp starts.  I don’t know if they are correct in that.

If you google Trey Lance injury, multiple articles say he will be good to go for camp.

Just doesn't add up then, maybe it never got to Lurie? Would be really shocked if he was okay with signing a UDFA who's being investigated for rape and kidnapping. He infamously hated the Vick signing and had to be talked into it by Andy. Curious to hear what he and Howie have to say about all this.

Irony.  Please tell us about all the NFL sign and trade deals....................

I feel for that kid. That sucks. I don’t wish that upon anybody. That said it might actually be a blessing in disguise for the Niners cause they get to actually see what Trey Lance is. I’m guessing if they went into next year in a competition that if Trey Lance lost he would be unhappy and a distraction. And when they go to trade him, not get back the value that they spent to get him. So now they’re gonna get to see just how good Trey Lance is and maybe if he pans out it worked itself out. If he flops and is a bust then you can always just go back to Brock Purdy in 2024.

heck if lance looks bad in camps they can always talk brady out of retirement as well.

Yeah, sometimes you just get beat on the field......

..when you fail to account for Haason Reddick and he ends up 1 v 1 with a TE.  They should have treated the man like the passrushing fiend he is and made sure that never happened.  Instead they treated him like he was some Seahawk passrusher I guess, and they 'got beat on the field' for it.

Reddick is a SAM.  You should be able to block him with your TE, if your TE is a good blocker and steers him.  The TE didn’t block him nor steer him. Epic failure.  9/10 times Stoll or Goedert succeed there, partly because of working so well with the OL.  Watch practices and see how much the TEs work with Stout and his group.  I don’t blame Shanahan on that play.  The RT is poorly positioned for the TE and the TE epically fails.  So does Purdy. The QB has to be aware on that play and Purdy wasn’t.

Thanks for looking that up.  You are a good researcher.

It could just be Sills lying or downplaying it, and they only knew so much. I dunno, it just seems off every angle you look at it.

With an almost perfect season, you had to figure something was going to pop up leading up to the Super Bowl.

Let's hope that is it.

Suh made their RG look like an inanimate object on the hit that took Johnson out of the game.  49ers did not play well in the trenches; it wasn't bad luck they lost their QBs in that game.  It was bad blocking.
