It could just be Sills lying or downplaying it, and they only knew so much. I dunno, it just seems off every angle you look at it.

Isn’t it obvious? Julian knew and didn’t allow it to go any further.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Reddick is a SAM.  You should be able to block him with your TE, if your TE is a good blocker and steers him.  The TE didn’t block him nor steer him. Epic failure.  9/10 times Stoll or Goedert succeed there, partly because of working so well with the OL.  Watch practices and see how much the TEs work with Stout and his group.  I don’t blame Shanahan on that play.  The RT is poorly positioned for the TE and the TE epically fails.  So does Purdy. The QB has to be aware on that play and Purdy wasn’t.

Not exactly.   He's a SAM in the same mold that LT was an OLB.  Not really... And teams tried to block LT with TEs... and OGs... and eventually the OTs.

It was a scheme mistake for this opponent.  We talk about situational awareness all the time.  In that case, it is up to the HC/OC/play caller to know the strengths of the opponent and their tendencies.  Some could call it hubris...

There's a lot of blame to go around, but yeah, I have already pointed out the foolishness of that particular play.

Damn, that's awful to hear. This might have been his only shot at cementing a starting job. I'm not sure he'll have that opportunity 18 months from now.

Yes it’s terrible. Feels like his career may be over considering he is a 7th round pick who is going to miss a full year of football. It really sucks and is not fair.

Look at google, they have something about the field in Arizona being outside and then inside and then outside again.

You have to know to ask the question.  Google can’t answer a question it isn’t asked.  With that said, what is your guess as to the percentage of the 50 million viewers of the two weekend games who would know to ask Google the question you illuminated above?

A franchise tag and trade is an entirely different thing.

Franchise tag is a base salary only, and all players who are tagged and traded get a new deal with the new team, thus eliminating that contract.

Now show me a players signing a multi year deal to facilitate a trade.

Your anal retentiveness has soared to new heights.  You said sign and trade.  I provided you sign and trade … thanks to a prior post by @Iggles_Phan

I never searched out that info, it is just something I knew.  And I knew it before I saw the stadium in person in 2018.

He will at the very least have teams interested in him as a backup once he is healed.  And with a journean backup QB career only a matter of time until he gets opportunities to start through injury and then it's what heales of those.

Speaking of, PM incoming.

I'm not sure I knew or even cared if Arizona's turf rolled out. And frankly who gives a F?

Right? There’s only one kind of rolled up grass that matters

Do it

Reading about Sills, I doubt this is news to the Eagles. It will be interesting to see how they handle it.

Hopefully just cut him so it's a non-issue.  He's not worth keeping on the roster for that kind of distraction.  He was a UDFA.  I am not sure how deeply he would have been vetted. It's possible they did not know because it looks like it was an issue he had in his hometown possibly when he was in high school.  They may have thought it was resolved if no charges were brought.  It seems unusual to bring the charges 3 years after an incident.
