Its one thing for Lane to have a groin issue or Mahomes to have a bad ankle. (not the best pass rush for it of course)

WRs can't run all over the place with a bad leg.

I think Sneed plays after 2 weeks off and if JuJu or Toney play they won't be near 100%.

Any news or thoughts on Gay?  Is he just dinged up? Or was it serious?  This is a KEY guy (one of the two key on Hurts guys as you know).  If he is indeed hurt then that is a big plus for us.

Again, I'm not rooting for injuries just wondering about the impact of them on the game at hand.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

If our D was that bad they'd have found a way to expose us. He's a sore loser. He's also said the Niners were the best team in the NFL this year. Utter rubbish.

Aiyuk will be placing his bets on the golf course, where he belongs:

Last I saw, Reddick was 25:1 -- wouldn't be a bad bet

My choice would be CJGJ at 125:1 same with Josh Sweat.  I think Gardner-Johnson getting 2 INT could get it done.

I played Reddick at 34-1 last week.

I don't know about that. Only 8 defensive players in history won the award. Maybe if they were both pick 6's.

Maybe one and one was deep in our territory and saved a score.

If Mahomes plays an A+, there’s no way we can reasonably expect a W.

It’s already incredibly hard and near impossible to beat a GOAT in his prime. I’d say it would definitely be impossible to expect to beat a GOAT in his prime when the GOAT plays an A+ game.

Brady played an A+ game five years ago and we still won.

He was hurt in the AFCCG with a shoulder injury. He was limited in practice last week so I'm guessing he will play.

Toney was out almost the entire Bengals game for an ankle injury

I should have known that.  That IS significant for a receiver.  So basically 3 weeks to heal.  Hmn...

100% agree BUT they have a couple of significant injuries whereas we are clearly resting people.

Sneed is a bad one. Concussion protocol-who the hell knows but yes he had the benefit of the extended bye.

Juju was HURT for real this season and is hurt again.

Toney I have no idea. I assumed this was resting a key guy.

Gay I figure they are resting a key guy.  But I don't know how he got hurt.

Here's a few hours old comment...take it for what it's worth on SB week.

The Chiefs certainly didn't leave the AFC Championship unscathed. The team lost JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), Kadarius Toney (ankle), and Mecole Hardman (pelvis) to injuries during the game. None of the trio participated in a full practice in the week following the AFC Championship, though Smith-Schuster and Toney have a chance to play. Hardman's prospects don't sound as promising, according to head coach Andy Reid. Even if Smith-Schuster and Toney play, they could be limited.

They may play, but how well can they cut and how much of their speed will be there? Even full strength that would be a challenge against our corners. Two weeks is a decent amount of time, but those sound like longer-term recoveries.

I doubt that. It's just a patch anyway, it wouldn't be hard to take the existing jersey's and add a patch to them. It's either poor planning or some other stupid reason.

Seriously with the way they make money? They always OVER prepare, like making jerseys for 4 teams that say superbowl champions etc....

What would it take for Reddick to win MVP?

1) 2 sacks

2) a strip or tipped ball for INT

3) 2 TFLs?

4) Eagles victory (of course)

I think $50 gets $1200 I read somewhere, lol?

It would also probably have to be a low scoring game, so you may as well bet the under while you're at it. A defensive player isn't winning the MVP if the winning team scores 35 points.

Yeah, I 100% figure he will play.  Could be interesting if he can't lay the wood.  Shoulders are helpful when tackling, lol. And he is a legit heavy hitter for them.

Malcolm Smith won with the Seahawks scoring 43 points.

Dexter Jackson won with the Bucs scoring 48 points

Ray Lewis won with the Ravens scoring 34 points

Richard Dent won with the Bears scoring 46 points

I am NOT a gambler to make $. I would lay that bet because the ROI matches the excitement to me (all of us) if he were to hit those benchmarks.

They have jerseys that have the SB patch. The point is they only have a bajillion of the gray ones. If they didn't plan on the Eagles being in the Super Bowl what sense would it make to push out the gray ones instead of the green ones last minute?

They are just out of Green. Whether it’s some production issue with the color or it's because next year they plan on changing the wordmark so didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of the old ones, I dunno. Like I said, if they had the green ones but didn't expect the Eagles to make the Super Bowl, they could have added the patch to the green ones. Just like they did with the gray ones.

They have different colored hats, shirts, sherseys etc that say SB XVII. It’s literally just the green jerseys they don’t and never really had.

PFF released their top defensive players of 2022

Top 10 defenders

1. Chris Jones KC 92.6
2. Myles garret CLE 92.5
3. Micah Parson 91.8
4. Dexter Lawrence NYG 91.6
5. Bobby Wagner LA 90.7
6. Nick Bosa SF 90.6
7 Aaron Donald 90.5
8 Bryce Huff. NYJ 90.4
9. Quinnen Williams/Brandon Graham/ Max crosby 90.1

Brandon freaking Graham at 34 years old coming off a torn Achilles. 11 sacks in a DE timeshare, I’d like to see him on the eagles next year

3 sacks and he has to create a turnover that directly leads to a defensive TD.

Interesting question if the eagles win the Super Bowl, where would you have hurts in eagles history in terms of QBs? Where would you have Kelce in terms of all time greats? lane, Cox and graham as well?

i think if hurts wins it he imo is still behind mcnabb with a chance to eventually move a head of him with the trajectory he’s on. I think he likely moves ahead of guys like jaws, foles, vick and Jurgensen

Imo kelce is definitely top 10. I think there’s an argument for top 5 all time eagle. He might reach top 5 with or without this SB victory.

i think lane is probably top 15 with how great he’s been especially if he plays 2-3 more years. Cox is likely top 20 when his career is done here. Graham is harder to place cause he’s been really good and an eagles HOFer and one of the most iconic plays. I’m guessing top 25 likely inside top 20 at the end of his career

I'd probably agree with you here. I think he'd be just just behind McNabb. At the moment he's only had 1 huge year but the future is very bright.

It would have to be a comfortable win too, since a huge defense play late could happen after the voting has been done. See Donald, Aaron.

Already crossed Parsons, Lawrence and Bosa off the list for nullifying them. Just one more to go!
