Interesting question if the eagles win the Super Bowl, where would you have hurts in eagles history in terms of QBs? Where would you have Kelce in terms of all time greats? lane, Cox and graham as well?

i think if hurts wins it he imo is still behind mcnabb with a chance to eventually move a head of him with the trajectory he’s on. I think he likely moves ahead of guys like jaws, foles, vick and Jurgensen

Imo kelce is definitely top 10. I think there’s an argument for top 5 all time eagle. He might reach top 5 with or without this SB victory.

i think lane is probably top 15 with how great he’s been especially if he plays 2-3 more years. Cox is likely top 20 when his career is done here. Graham is harder to place cause he’s been really good and an eagles HOFer and one of the most iconic plays. I’m guessing top 25 likely inside top 20 at the end of his career

Fun stuff to do by position in the off season.  Hard to do though back into the 40s.  Only saw it from the 70s and many haven't even seen that far back. But I think you have to include the old guys like Tommy, the Dutchman and Concrete Charlie. And yet I would have NO IDEA how to measure them against a modern player.  Just pure stats and add in some aura?

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I tried over the past week to talk myself into nervousness for the game. While the insane confidence the fan base has makes me a little nervous, the fans are more cocky than I've ever seen them before a big game(although fans were pretty confident for SB 52 as well) and I do think KC is great and this will be a very tough game... I keep coming back to what I've felt all season. As long as this team's lines play up to their ability, they will win it all. I've felt the Eagles biggest opponent is themselves and if they lose it'll be because of things they messed up or failed at more than their opponent. So I guess my biggest concern for the game is Hurts having a bad outing. I don't think he will, but if I had to rank things to be concerned about it's that.

Thanks to LII, I’m as relaxed as can be heading into the game. I’ll be a wreck on Sunday, but even a loss won’t sting like it did before — unless we lose on something stupid like cover-2 on third and 30. Then I’ll take it to my grave.

I have a hard time seeing us winning this game. It just feels like the time Mahomes and Reid get their second. I can't see them losing in the Super Bowl again.

Reid owes Philly a super bowl.

I put $10 on each of the following to win MVP:

Slay 100/1

Gainwell 100/1

CJGJ 150/1

Boston Scott 200/1

Blankenship 250/1

Calm down.  We do not need folks replacing the recently departed.

PFF released their top defensive players of 2022

Top 10 defenders

1. Chris Jones KC 92.6
2. Myles garret CLE 92.5
3. Micah Parson 91.8
4. Dexter Lawrence NYG 91.6
5. Bobby Wagner LA 90.7
6. Nick Bosa SF 90.6
7 Aaron Donald 90.5
8 Bryce Huff. NYJ 90.4
9. Quinnen Williams/Brandon Graham/ Max crosby 90.1

Brandon freaking Graham at 34 years old coming off a torn Achilles. 11 sacks in a DE timeshare, I’d like to see him on the eagles next year

Is there a single Eagles fan (who watched every game) who actually thinks that Brandon Graham was better this year than Haason Reddick?

Frankly that's just absurd.

Malcolm Smith won with the Seahawks scoring 43 points.

Dexter Jackson won with the Bucs scoring 48 points

Ray Lewis won with the Ravens scoring 34 points

Richard Dent won with the Bears scoring 46 points

I guess that's a fair point, although as I recall those were blowouts. Not sure this one will be a blowout.

I’m jealous that you all feel that way. What’s odd though are the folks like ESP that were more confident ahead of LII than this one. Especially folks who have followed this team all season. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

For that, You have to understand how PFF grades players. This is not a cumulative achievement stat, but an average value stat when they’re on the field.

Graham had 11 sacks 21 pressures, 16 QB hits in 474 snaps

Reddick had 16 sacks, 41 pressures, 26 Qb hits in 817 snaps

Then you factor in which player PFF determined had the better year in run defense. I don’t have PFF membership to see, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Graham was quite a bit higher in that category, as is his wont.

I agree Reddick had the much better year in totality, but on a per snap basis I can understand how PFF came to this conclusion.

The difference with this team and other years is I'm uber confident in the Eagles. I know they can certainly lose the game, the Chiefs are very good and they have Mahomes, Kelce, and Reid. But in other years, where I lacked confidence was in the Eagles team. Even in 2017 we saw the defense all season on the road get lit up, and it was still Nick Foles, despite ballin in the NFCCG, we all know who Nick Foles was. So of course there was concern that a HOF coach like Belichick could stifle him. And in the McNabb years, we saw him come up small in big games, and the Eagles lacked playmakers on the outside, and they often had trouble with their pass rush in certain years. It wasn't so much their opponents as it was me lacking confidence in them.

This year, I think this is the best Eagles team I've ever seen. It doesn't mean they can't lose, but they've given me no reasons to not have confidence that they can overcome any challenge they'll face.

Yep. I never feel calm and confident about the team, but I just feel they will handle things. It's not something I'm used to and it's not cocky because the Chiefs are good...it's just this weird feeling I haven't had in all my years of being an Eagles fan. You are spot on about if they play how they are capable they will be fine. I guess we'll see which Hurts shows up.

How many of you people, will kill yourselves when the eagles lose

Selves no. You, perhaps.*

*Kidding of course.**

**Maim only.

Just watched the Total Access deep dive on the LBs.

The clips were not flattering.

KC is 28th or so. So they are somewhere between meh to they suck.  At best.

They have their work cut out for them.

A win is amazing, but a loss isn't devastating.

God bless Nick Foles.

Try to remember that we have the best O-Line since the days of the Dallas dynasty, and a pass rush that is only rivalled by the 85 F'in Bears.

Our trenches are so much better, it's not a fair fight, even with Mahomes on the other side. We will win this, rather easily.

You damn right...if good Hurts shows up. He will have to pass in this one.

PS we just got the Madden sim. Their score prediction is close to what I felt this morning.
