Actually, I don’t think people are giving nearly as much attention to the eagles DL as they should. Our pass rush is other worldly. To use a comparison, our pass rush is MUCH better compared to average than Mahomes is compared to the average QB.

This pass rush isn’t just an outlier, it’s all time level good and we do it only rushing 4 most of the time.

The Chiefs OL is good, but this pass rush is a different test entirely from anything any of these players have ever faced in their entire careers.

Amen

They have this stat called QB Passer Rating (not to be confused with QBR which is not a real thing - see 2022 Jacoby Brissette)

Mahomes is the best QB because he is... 2nd in passer rating behind Tua.

Oh they have this other stat called ANY/A which also factors sacks into QB play, at least he is 1st... oh wait, that's Tua too.

How about passing yards. Jameis Winston leads in that... oh that was 2019. yeah, so Mahomes wins the James Winston award for passing yardage total for 2022.

He also leads the league in TD passes, like 2019 Lamar Jackson or Drew Brees in like half of the 2010s.

Oh wait, he's the best because he led in 4th quarter comeback magic!.. nah, he had 4 and Cousins had 8. Matt Ryan had 4 in 4 wins, including over Mahomes.

So he has the most 2022 bulk passing stats and he has been stopped in 3 of 4 years but now he's unstoppable.

I see how this works. We just pretend Mahomes has magic QB powers.

Maybe its a SB thing, Mahomes is such a QB god that he must be the best SB QB, right?

His 2 TDs, 4 picks, and 64.2 passer rating is the best? Top 50? Maybe not?

So in summary. The Eagles are doomed because Mahomes is really good in the regular season and in a bunch of home playoff games?

Maybe he just faced tough defenses in those other SBs. He can exploit the Eagles weak pass rush and terrible corners?

Yeah, I'm so scared.

You've been a real peach in here the last 24 hours. Love your "stuff".

Some of the pests come out of their holes when one of their own gets in trouble

In common games this year Cousins is 3-0 and Mahomes is 1-2

Buffalo, Indy, and Arizona.

Buffalo and the AFC South.

What does this have to do with the Eagles vs the Chiefs?

I never want to see Smith return another punt. He is way too valuable to be used for such a high risk, low reward position. Ward is fine, plus if Covey can't go he would probably get elevated anyway.

What about Pascal?  He doesn't see the ball too much, so wouldn't be a loss if he gets hurt.

Did I hear right on ESPN tonight that no league MVP has won Super Bowl MVP since KW in like 1999?

Yes

No way Im bringing a season long practice squad player off the bench to field punts in the SB

Odd comment.  There's no obsession.

And no.  It's not at all why we have mods.  Mods don't tell idiots they aren't allowed to post in the blog.  But the blog used to be better than the rest of TATE. Part of it was the people contributing to the blog. Another big part was Veejer chasing idiots away. Ensuring the quality of posts in here.

The blog was always self moderated. We followed our own rules- no religion, no politics. Debates were civil.  Rarely devolving in yo arguments. In some instances ghor and afan would go at it.  And then they'd move on. In my earlier days I'd go at it with people a lot more.  JR had me on ignore a few times back in the day.

There was often a verbalized agreement to disagree at the end of a debate. And no one kept after the same argument making passive aggressive comments for months on end. And dumb people felt like they didn't belong in here because the level of discourse was so obviously above what they were capable of contributing to.

The last paragraph sums up 4s posting quite nicely. His massive inferiority complex overcompensating so he could act like he belonged in the discussion. No wonder you liked him

I’d be fine having DeVonta Smith returning every punt.  The risk is low unless you’re trying to return a punt you’re going to get blown up on at the catch point.  Smith has better field awareness than that

Just trying to clarify. Thanks for your input Doc per usual.

At this point it looks like we are rolling with Kern at punter which is just disgusting.

6 of them lost to a dominant defense, 2 were in shootouts, and 1 was an onsides kick and Peyton's generosity with the football (defense again)

They have till 4 to make a move, and they will wait till the last second like always

They wont know til tomorrow whether they should stay at normal distance or move way up to field Kerns line drives and shanks.  Got em

You're not trying to clarify anything, you know exactly what you're saying, and implying. Passive/Agressive BS.

Why the "toe in the sand, gee" approach? Step up if you have something worthwhile to express.

Spit it out, dude. We're all waiting for your next nugget.

It’s kind of crazy. Back when they first worked Kern out, you’d think they would’ve seen how bad he is. Like, there really isn’t anybody better out there?

I’ll never understand it. Purdy doesn’t play defense. Josh Johnson doesn’t play defense. We hung 31 on this "vaunted” defense. Take away DeVonta catch that led to TD and it’s still 24-7.

I got the answer to this one.

You have to add in the whining on the PENALTIES which were not warranted and all came on 3rd down.  That is why we scored 4 on the ground and had 100 yards before first contact and so on...

FYI, 4x4s troll buddy is still stalking me with impotent confuse emojis. Isn't he such a special boy!  (not reporting, just pointing out that their pathetic game continues)

At least he's not name calling and dropping F-bombs at me? That's an improvement.

He can send an email letting him know he may be gone but his emojis live on.
