Saw this mentioned earlier but never really expanded upon.

AR has Mahomes take a slightly deeper drop than usual to give him some escapability out the sides, etc.

Not the 3 step quick hitters, but the slightly longer developing pass plays. 7 steps for a normal 5 step design...

This leads to the DEs having to set their target deeper, O Tackles having to push wider and deeper, giving Mahomes lanes to escape through to the edges. That's his forte, where he excells. That will be our biggest challenge, IMHO.

It allows the DEs to swim or break underneath the protection to get Mahomes off his spot.

The danger lies in letting the QB out onto the edges if you miss, scramble drill ensues. They're good at that.

A lot of pre-SB emotions. It’s a big weekend for Eagles fans. Hasn’t fully hit me yet. Just went to the store to buy a few things for a charcuterie board for the game and next thing I know it’s $200 out the door. I kind of blacked out shopping I guess.
