This team goes as Hurts goes. You can see why they rested him. They need him healthy to have any chance.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Seeing the Vikings lose in this fashion is comforting.

Or maybe it's the bourbon

That dad joke is so completely out of left field I have no idea what to think. It’s so bizarre coming from skip Bayless that I can’t stop laughing at it

Posting Skip Bayless Tweets should be in Spoiler tags.   He always uses caps lock, and it is an eye sore.  (Not to mention that he never has anything meaningful to say, so shouting helps make his point louder, because it's no more cogent.)

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

You got punked today, boy! Hasty with more carries and also had one touchdown like his counterpart.

We'll ignore that the yardage was like 108 to 33 in favor of Etienne.

Not having Hurts and Lane was too much to overcome today. Saints attacked the RT with blitzes and stunts and Minshew did a terrible job of working to his left and keeping his eyes down field.
The run game has suffered without Hurts behind center and it changes the way defenses play us.
OLine needs to get all these silly penalties figured out. The false starts have been a killer and I don’t know where Kelce’s head was being down field blocking on a pass play that wiped out a big gain and put us behind the sticks.
I’m still not panicking because getting Hurts, Lane, CJG, and hopefully Maddox back will make a big difference in the playoffs.

The contract situation with him is going to get interesting. The conspiracy part of me thinks this was some Howie long play to let Minshew play well to somehow knock Hurts’ contract value. But if that was the case, it backfired because Hurts’ value has gone up immensely the past two weeks.

I don’t think they’ll flex it due to if Dallas somehow gets upset by WAS next week, both teams are resting their guys. Giants most likely are already not playing theirs.

I was half wishing for that.  ;)

But, who else would make sense.   They love Philly in that spot.  And, against NY?  They will get eyeballs even if there's no playoff implications.

I'm guessing Bills/Bengals has the most gravitas, but Buffalo and Cincinnati aren't the population centers that Philly and NY are.

Likely to be flexed to the SNF game as well... like they do.

Don’t think they can. Doesn’t it need to be announced 10 days in advance? Or is this one of those weird TBD games?

So here's the scoop. Get Jalen back and beat the Giants. Take a week off. Hope that CJGJ (probable), Sweat and by some miracle Lane (doubtful) are ready to roll.

Visions of Minshew on the RPO keeper and the failed QB sneak is straight nightmare fuel

Hasty is why the jags won

There’s a narrow landing strip that 98% players completely miss off course. Kelce nails it every time. Brooks and Johnson mostly as well. Something about O-linemen I guess.

Aerospace references are hard to come by in here, not in the usual discourse.

High Marks for getting that done.

Did you know that parachute deployments are successful 100% of the time?...

unless they're not...but nobody is left to b!tch about it...

If there were any ongoing compression (traumatically herniated disc)…he would be monitored overnight.  If there was any significant weakness on arrival to the hospital, he would be monitored overnight.  So that means he’s full strength and was full strength almost immediately.

If there were a fracture, he’d still go home.

And that hit didn’t really look like it should have caused a cervical fracture.  Certainly could, but I bet it was clean.

I’m trying to piece together incomplete info here, but I bet he’s back and fine very soon.

that was my expectation. He compressed his cervical spine a little bit, but it wasnt directly on the top of his head, and it wasnt that much. We have definitely seen necks accordion much worse in football than his did.

Even in uglier injuries, it seems like 99% of the time, though percautions are needed, these are nothingburgers.

Anecdotally in my career, I have spineboarded 4 times. 3 times were nothingburgers. 1 time was a decent enough sprain for the kid to miss some time but still was nothing life and limb threatening. That one was the worst- it was a wrestling injury where the kid got slammed directly on the top of his head. It was ugly. He turned out fine. It was like a 2 week injury.

I wouldnt be surprised it Sweat plays next week. And definitely back for playoffs. Same thing I said at the time of injury.

Thanks for the scoop swoop

Back the Brinks truck up for Hurts.

Not my money lol

I think they always wait until the last week to make that final week's schedule.  Happened in 2020 with the Eagles/Washington.

Gardner-Johnson needs to play next week.

fwiw, it was listed as TBD when the schedule came out

I love how people call the RPO stuff gimmicky or that anyone could pick up the QB sneak behind our OL. Then when Minshew does it he can't do either. The RPO last week caused the fumble because he misplaced the handoff to Scott.

Eagle 45 is right, they have to play everyone next week.

It is an absolute must win, because they aren’t making any kind of meaningful run from the 5th seed.

I thought your landing strip comment was something else.

But I'm also a pervert 🤣

I was just going to ask about this.

And, I do wonder how much the injury to Sweat deflated the team?  With the message being sent (at least subliminally) that the game isn't that important... I do wonder where their heads really were.

Raiders 10 up on 49ers
