I know we didn't really deserve to win anyway but shoutout to the refs for royally effing us. We might've actually ran the ball at the end if we had a lead.

I thought the same. up 14-13 we may have tried to pound the rock and that pick 6 to AJ Brown never happens. Who knows though. They havent run the ball the past 2 weeks. They somehow thought backup QB means throw constantly.

And then there was those 2 times they forgot they didnt have Hurts. The rollout on 3rd down with Minshew, and the pathetic QB sneak.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I am not suggesting that the one seed wouldn't drastically help out, but the "we can't win on the road" crowd is kinda silly, too. As if teams have never done that or won as a lower seed.

Until we're knocked out for the season, back away from the ledge.

Don’t think they can. Doesn’t it need to be announced 10 days in advance? Or is this one of those weird TBD games?

Week 18 SNF is based on week 17 results. It will probably be Ten at Jax since its for the division.

Detroit at Green Bay could be another option. Seattle could eliminate Detroit earlier but GB would be playing for a spot and Detroit will be biting ankles.

This is assuming GB and Seattle win today.

The final week can be announced 6 days prior, so we'll know either tonight, or by Tuesday at the latest.

that was my expectation. He compressed his cervical spine a little bit, but it wasnt directly on the top of his head, and it wasnt that much. We have definitely seen necks accordion much worse in football than his did.

Even in uglier injuries, it seems like 99% of the time, though percautions are needed, these are nothingburgers.

Anecdotally in my career, I have spineboarded 4 times. 3 times were nothingburgers. 1 time was a decent enough sprain for the kid to miss some time but still was nothing life and limb threatening. That one was the worst- it was a wrestling injury where the kid got slammed directly on the top of his head. It was ugly. He turned out fine. It was like a 2 week injury.

I wouldnt be surprised it Sweat plays next week. And definitely back for playoffs. Same thing I said at the time of injury.

I am always glad to see such precautions being taken.  This is, after all, just a game.

I hate the ugly ones.  I hate the not ugly ones.   I hate all of the injuries.  But, it is a part of the game.  All sports have risk, but football's risk is elevated compared to other sports.

And Vikings are turning into pumpkins as well.

body bag game from vikings losing OL

Missed another fg

This is three weeks in a row right now I believe where it seems blatantly obvious teams are lining up in the neutral zone against the sneak. Am I missing something or wrong here? How is this not an infraction? Kelce’s helmet is basically on their shoulder pads.

Eagle 45 is right, they have to play everyone next week.

It is an absolute must win, because they aren’t making any kind of meaningful run from the 5th seed.

If they lose with everyone that’s super demoralizing as a fan. I don’t expect they do but wow if they did

Surely the Vikings can’t do it again

Eagles and sirianni need to send tape to the league and show them so they are watching for it.

Gardner-Johnson needs to play next week.

Interesting word choice.  I think it should depend on his kidney.  Lattimore missed 10 weeks with a lacerated kidney.   There are very different levels of severity, and we never were told what it was.

I don't think the Giants rest starters unless things start to get out of hand over the course of the game.  They go into the playoffs as probably the most looked down upon team.  Daboll wants to win that game to send a message to not only the Eagles but the league as the Giants head into the playoffs.  We will get full effort from New York.  But we will hopefully also have Jalen.

packers get doink to end half 27-3

GB 27-3 at half.

Any chance Minny has another comeback?

Wow it doinked in off the crossbar. Packers all over the Vikings

GB doink and in!

Yup, those are almost always far better than they look on the field.

We get a pretty serious operative spinal cord injury from football a couple times per year still.

Dallas clicking their heels about the potential one seed, now.

We lost

Vikings are gonna lose

49ers losing.

Can't play the Colts every week lol

I'd be shocked if the Vikings win 1 game in the playoffs. At least when we play like crap the games are close. If things aren't going right for the Vikings they get absolutely smoked.

When they play well they win by less than a score.

I’d be shocked if NYG plays their starters for more than a quarter….especially knowing how injury prone a guy like Barkley has been.

Offsides should be a reviewable penalty.  And I hate reviews for ticky tack stuff.  But that truly does affect the outcome of the play.

I was just going to ask about this.

And, I do wonder how much the injury to Sweat deflated the team?  With the message being sent (at least subliminally) that the game isn't that important... I do wonder where their heads really were.

By far the biggest reason that Im disappointed with these missed opportunities is the team has shown themselves to be football- immature.

They let down their guards and didnt handle their business like a champion.   Doesnt mean theyre not championship-caliber, but Im getting Almost There But Not Ready To Win vibes from this team, kinda like 2002 Eagles where we were super talented but werent sure what to do with it.

They only get 2 more shots now and have to win them both.  Next week and wherever we land in the postseason.  I dont think theres any scenario where we lose next week and do anything in the playoffs

But they're not playing inept colts..

Their anemic offense is a big reason why they lost
