Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Yep

The Chiefs scored 31 points on 8 drives. That included a missed FG and the Chiefs not even trying to score a TD on the final drive.

Awful performance. We looked completely unprepared in the red zone by double moves.

It’s sticks out like a sore thumb but Gannon game plan against the better QBs in the league has been predictable and pretty much roasted.

2021

Bucs/Brady--28

Cowboys/dak— 42

Chiefs/mahomes— 42

Herbert/chargers— 27

bucs/Brady— 31

niners/Jimmy g— 17

2022:

lions/Goff— 35

packers/rodgers/love— 33

Dak/cowboys—40

chiefs/mahomes— 31 (take away jalen’s fumble)

you can say they held jones to 22 and 7 but i don’t really think the giants offense has enough weapons and jones is so so. Eagles knocked out purdy so they did but due to circumstance

at some point in time, it is a common theme with the Eagles defense with Gannon as DC against better quarterbacks/offenses. I hate saying it cause he did help us get to the SB but he’s a paper champion DC. Against lesser opponents he’ll look great but better competition he gets lit up. it’s why i said i rather have fangio as DC next year. Gannon is not going to have nearly as much talent on defense next year. Probably the most pure talent We’ve had on defense in a while. He still couldn’t figure out how to keep the chiefs offense from scoring over 30.

That crap field played a huge part in the game.  There was almost no stopping their pre play motion change of direction with players slipping and sliding l over the place

Still hurts though.  The way it ended might have stung even more.

Yep. That flag is not something I'll get past soon. It all doesn't feel real. As bad as the defense played they stopped them...and they should have had a lot of time to tie it up bit that was ripped away.

Not really. We scored on the very next drive after the fumble. The only reason we had the ball was because of the fumble TD. I mean, sure. Maybe we would have scored that drive. And the fumble was awful. But to pretend Hurts was the problem is outside of reality.

I don’t think hurts was the problem at all. Just that that fumble greatly changed the momentum of the game. Eagles looked like they had full control and had the ability to go up 3 possessions there. Could have been 21-7 and still have momentum to score more.

He was 27/38 and 308 yards passing with no picks. He was very accurate today, made good decisions, and damn near won us the Super Bowl.

He deserves some criticism for the fumble TD which was unforced, but as a passer he was very good today.

Should've had more if Watkins didn't drop that pass. It sucks that he fumbled it but he more than did his job tonight in spite of it. The biggest thing was seeing how he'd respond from that turnover and he did that and more. I can't complain about his play.

Completely disagree.  Offense did more than enough.  Defense was a complete disappointment.  Needed to make a play and didn’t.  Offense is the only reason we were in the game.

Gannon getting hired away will be the best thing for us.

If the bolded were actually true, the Eagles would be hoisting the Lombardi.  They did enough to keep the team in the game.  But, they needed to be better to win the game.

Defense has the lionshare of the responsibility.  ST gets their lot.  But the offense isn't without excuse.  The advantage in this game was Eagles' O vs. Chiefs' D.  They didn't do enough to make up for the biggest disadvantage in the game... Eagles' D vs. Chiefs' O.

The Eagles had the better roster 1-53, Hurts may have outplayed Mahomes tonight and the Eagles still couldn't beat them.

I said in the week leading up to the game, if the Eagles can't beat them this year, I can't even fathom what they can do differently.

Mahomes was at his best. They mitigated the pass rush and exposed the soft zone BS, as every person who covered the NFL said they should the last two weeks. The defensive plan failed us and the refs put the nail in the coffin

The run game that wasn’t working? Sure, plenty of QBs put up 35 points against the best team in the AFC.

Not to mention that Hurts’ running ability is a huge reason why the running game is so effective.

If we have a Nick Bolton roaming the middle of this field, very possibly we can win. Get a better linebacker in here.

We couldn’t play man either because we busted so many coverages in the RZ.

The Chiefs ran so many double moves and put our corners in conflict with motion that confused our corners.

We had two weeks to prep and failed spectacularly.

I think the defense really failed at every level.  It was clear, from a coaching/schematic standpoint, that the defense was lost.  It was also clear that the interior DL was getting blown up off the OL.  The edge rushers were consistently neutralized by the OTs all game long.  The LBs crashed the wrong gaps.  And the secondary couldn’t hold tight coverage against a pretty underwhelming group of weapons.  Mahomes wasn’t making heroic passes into tight coverage where only his guy could catch it.  These guys were open.

Coaching, secondary, LBs, DL…they all sucked.  Not a single "play” from anyone on defense all game long.  Maybe a couple hard hits from CJGJ on plays that were already gains for the Chiefs.  Even if you include penalties, the Chiefs offense probably had 1-2 negative plays all night.

Shut the freak up

Maddox was also getting torched alllllllll game.  Why not slide CGJ in to the slot and play Blankenship at safety?  The only starter from the DB I want back from tonight is CGJ.  I've been an Epps guy but even as a solid starter, he isn't it.

Bolton ain’t that good. Nice game tonight though.

You can’t have a passive D cord on defense. Hope he enjoys head coaching a insignificant franchise into nowhere.

We ran for 115 yards, and a lot of those were 1 yard conversions.

Doesnt really matter though — the offense did their part.

They didn't call pass interference or holding all night. They missed some blatant ones from Watson on Brown. But TBF it went both ways. Just like they didn't call holding on either DL/OL.

So to call that is a joke in that moment. It wasn't consistent with the entire game.

Hurts was robbed of a chance to have a career drive and we were robbed of being able to witness it. I truly think those refs will never be able to officiate at the Linc.

I didn’t think the pass rush was "that bad.” Mahomes is just so damn good at getting out of trouble.
