CGJ was one of the few defenders who showed up tonight. Need to bring him back.

Top priority on defense for sure.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

We should have benched Edwards at the half for Dean. Edwards was the worst defender. He made one good tackle (flat checkdown to Kelce). Rest was missed assignments.

LB is priority #1. It's killing our run defense and ability to pass off zones in coverage.

LB play is probably my biggest blind spot as a football fan.  They’ve got so much going on with their assignments.  DT…1 gap, 2 gap, stunts…sure, some nuance with assignments that impact what we are seeing, but getting beat is getting beat.  DBs…sticking in coverage or biting on a double move…plain to see.

LB is trickier.  Edwards, to me, always seemed like a player with below average overall athleticism, but decent 5 yard radius football athleticism who always had a knack for being in the right place and flowing with the play.  And for a LB, that’s pretty good.

But tonight, it really did feel like he was anywhere but where the RB was.  I don’t know if that’s him, Gannon, or both.

I feel like crap. Such a great season seems like it shouldn't have ended like this. That field was garbage, I kept seeing our pass rushers slipping and falling constantly.

Anyways, trying to be positive...

We have a young franchise quarterback, arguably the best in the conference.

We have a young head coach only in his second season as a head coach.

We have 2 first round picks.

Some young players like Dean, Blankenship, Davis (if he puts in work), etc. should get a shot to start and might actually be upgrades for the defense next year.

He was so bad that it made us all forget Kyzir White was even playing.

Yep. We had an all-time great pass rush and didn’t get a single holding call tonight. Seems weird.

A lot of slipping by the DEs all game.

We… never know when this team will ever be back in the super bowl. Things are taken for granted.

So re-signs... Bradberry, CGJ and maybe Graham for a stop gap. Everyone else can kick rocks after that game.

This defense man, so disappointing in the big game. We all talked about how the Chiefs o-line was just decent and our d-line should be great tonight meanwhile they basically owned our d-line. I'm ready to let Cox, Hargrave and maybe even Graham go. They need to get younger and we better start praying Davis develops.

This team is going to look entirely different next year. From coaching staff to huge player turnover.  It's going to be interesting.  Here's to a long off season.

I want Gibbs or Robinson. Would probably need to use our later 1st rd pick to get one of them.

Gibbs would be great, but I think we need to use that pick at a position of greater value.

There are a lot of good mid round RBs this year, so unless we can get good value through a trade I wouldn’t draft him there.

Oh no he got emotion.

At least we won't be incessant whiny ****es over this. Made of sterner stuff than those west coast ****.

At least there's that.

Edwards, Epps, White, Bradberry, Hargrave, Sanders, Semaulo, Cox, Suh, Joseph, Quinn, really any FA not named Gardner-Johnson, Kelce, or Graham can go.

With the right moves and trade downs, Eagles can find multiple replacements in the draft.

Take your growing pains in 2023

Get back to the dance in 2024.

Yup. Took us 13 years after the last loss. We had a golden opp and missed it. That's why it's so sucky.

I think both teams were noticeably impaired by the turf.  They showed Kelce losing his footing on severance breaks that probably could have hurt us.

Reddick is someone that bends really low around the edge.  I noticed him, several times, just slide out right under the OT and hit the turf.

Next season will be a let down. Every SB loser has a let down season. Expect mediocrity. This year was a gift.

Maybe the only guy I want back on D after tonight's joke of a performance. Maybe we can get Daron Payne, I also like Dre'Mont Jones off the Broncos.

Both lines were supposed to be advantage Eagles and it was the other way around.  I ahven't seen Hurts have that much pressure on him up the middle in a long time.  He was being chased far too much.  Bad on both sides.

I would not be quick to allow everyone on the defensive line to leave. We just need a better coordinator. Obviously some will have to go, but I’d try to being back Hargrave. Without him we have nothing at DT. Honestly, I don’t think we can just assume Jordan Davis will be anything special. And he was awful tonight btw.

It is neither baiting nor trolling.  Are you saying I’m not allowed to have or express my feelings?  Interesting double standard.  I expected more from you.

Cut the BS about expecting more. It’s both wether you realize it or not. You feel some way about the outcome, others feel differently. Telling people "it’s just a game” or "get a grip” not even an hour after the end is dismissing THEIR feelings. Let people be angry and vent. You don’t need to tell other people how to feel to express your feelings.

I suppose.  The way it turned out the offense needed to be perfect because of the poor play of defense and special teams.  My takeaway though is that we lucked out on a special QB who will keep this offense competitive for the foreseeable future.  This game solidified what I felt last year.

Had the defense though made a play or two down the stretch, regardless of that awful call, we would be having a completely different discussion right now.

Absolutely right.  And the Chiefs offense basically was perfect.  Team game.  53 men... coaches... etc.  Takes a village.
