A lot of guys here are down on us next year. We'll see how the offseason pans out but I'm quietly optimistic about another strong playoff run.

O, only player’s in question of losing are Seaumalo and Sanders. Expect Gannon back

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

He doesn’t have the arm strength to make those throws.  It is what it is.

A good thing for him to work on this offseason

Tbh it’s harder on me to watch in real time then it is after the fact when i already know what’s going to happen. I’m already expecting it and I’ve already come to the point where i expect any outcome to happen. I’m frustrated with a missed opportunity more than watching them lose over again m. I can handle losing. It happens and sometimes you run into a great team.

My bigger concern is that this team is unable to get back to this position as fast as we would like. The offense i think will still be really good even losing Steichen, seumalo and sanders. I think Johnson will be fine. I think seumalo and sanders while good are areas we can find good replacements. However the defense is definitely going to lose a bunch of talent this offseason. There’s no other way to frame it. Epps, CJGJ, Edwards, bradberry, white, Cox, graham, suh, Joseph, hargrave are all FAs. I think we are fortunate if we just get back hargrave and CJGJ. Gonna be a lot of new faces added via draft. I also don’t think with hurts extension we can dabble into FA as much so we have to hit on these draft picks to build the defense into what we want again. A couple weeks ago i said eagles might be better off with fangio next year then Gannon because i think fangio likely can maximize a less talent defense whereas Gannon when given great talent like this year still had issues against good QBs.

Agreed 100%. There are too many good/great defensive players going to FA and we won't be able to bring them all back. We will be getting younger on D and hopefully a new coach will step in and set up with a revised D but it may take 2-3 years to get back to as high a level as they played for most of the season. I'd prioritize CJGJ at the top of the list of FAs to bring back.

Bradberry is really pissing me off. figures an ex giant would make the penalty of the game that would seal it against us and then after the fact brush it off as just nothing

Woke up this morning... hoping it was a bad dream.   It's real.  Off to work.

Offense brought their B game, unfortunately the defense brought their D- game.

My expectations are nothing until Gannon is gone. We're not winning jack ish with that fraud as our coordinator.

Im guessing Dean, Davis, Blankenship might be starters next year. I’d sign CJGJ and pair him with Blankenship look for depth at safety. The rest of those guys i think are just backups and depth. Gonna need to use 10 and 31 and our second to infuse some starters into the defense. Hopefully a pass rusher and Cb and maybe on the middle rounds a Lb.

Can’t have All Pro’s everywhere. I think if Epp’s stays cheap he is sufficient enough to stay and battle Blankenship, Chachere sometimes looks decent. Sure take a flyer on a safety if you see something otherwise bigger fish to fry … IMO

Not sure why some of you are pushing this narrative.  We scored 35pts, had 417 total yards, 11/18 on 3rd down, 2-2 on 4th down, nearly 36 mins of possession, good in the red zone.  There was nothing wrong the the O.    We took what the Chiefs gave us and consistently marched down the field.

They may not have played A+ but certainly an A-.

First off, glad i didn't stay up for that.

As my brother can attest, I despise inconsistent and finicky officiating in sports.  If you see something illegal call it consistently, or not at all; don't go out of the lines you've drawn already.  The flag on Bradberry was weak and at a bad time in the game; it really tipped the scales.  They missed the blatant helmet to helmet on Smith early on but called that? Get outta here.

I know it's been trendy to bash on Gannon all season, but he didn't fumble the ball away for a TD nor give the Chiefs a long punt return - 1 score right there and 1 short field. The team wins and loses together, and it did last night. No one player or coach really ished the bed.

I'm sad, but I'd rather get to a SB and lose, than not get to one at all.

Next season is gonna be a tough one; this feels like an opportunity lost.  The churn on the team is gonna be a big one now.

I think my anger prevented me from having a hangover. Slept like crap and I feel fine.

Cant be an A with a fumble return for a TD, not in the SB.  Makes it an automatic B at best for me.  You just cant overlook that mistake, it changed the entire complexion of the game and kept KC close when they shouldnt have been.

Well F it anyway. On another message board I’m on there are cowboy fans Fing gloating at the eagles losing.

There were definite issues besides the defense, but in the biggest game of the year, they got no turnovers and no sacks. They did nothing on their part to help change the outcome in our favor. The defense was as good as it was because of the collection of talent. There is nothing special Gannon did. He can go.

One mistake. I’ll give them that. Up 10 at half anyway. D sucked donkey.

I didn't understand at all how some of you were beyond confident the last 2 weeks the Eagles were going to win this game.

Could they have? Yes absolutely but to act like it was a done deal is insane.  Football is the most unpredictable sport there is.

Yes still would like to hear the reasons for the sudden lack of pass rush from Gannon, the players. What is there excuse ? Out coached ? KC OL, just unbeatable or lots of uncalled holding or the horrendous field conditions they were better prepared or was more to our disadvantage ? Mahomes wobbling and weaving right down our gullet, surprised CJGJ didn’t light him up

So I saw someone posting last night that put very little "blame" on Hurts. Here's how I would score it.

Defense 60%

Special Teams 15%

Hurts  15%

Really suspicious call at the end of the game 10%

Ask them if they were actually alive the last time their team was truly relevant in the NFL?  They are the Detroit Lions... silver and blue... lots of talk... no results.

I hate to be cold hearted but this Super Bowl confirmed for me that both Sanders and Epps should be on the next bus out of town.  Eagles brass seems to love Epps for some reason, though.

Sanders was invisible, other than being a split-second from fumbling away a TD.  Epps’ coverage against Kelce on the first Chiefs TD looked like a little kid getting burned in a father-son game.

Edwards, Cox, Maddox too

Refs deserve a higher percentage of blame. The catch reversal for Devonta was BS and that final penalty reduced our win probability from 30-40% to .00001% instantaneously. Quez is permanently on my crap list now too, his hands are just bad.

Hurts fumble yeah.  Otherwise, he played an excellent game.  More than enough to win that game.

This phrase needs to be thrown in the garbage and just never stated again.  If any phase of the team had actually been 'more than enough' to win... the Eagles would have won.  They lost.  So, no phase was 'more than enough to win that game.'

Silly, really silly take here.  If Hurts runs for a TD on every play and the D turns the ball over on every play we win as well.

Yeah, the Eagles didn’t play well enough to win. Why? What worked and what didn’t? The D was destroyed all game and in particular during the 2nd half. If the O had been scored 45 then yeah we might have won. Surely you’d expect the D to keep it under 35.

knew that going into the game. I would argue their Interior oline is actually better than the Eagles. thuney and creed are all pros. Kelce is an all pro. But thuney at this stage of his career is still better than Dickerson. Smith would’ve been a first or second rounder if not for other issues. I love seumalo but smith is as good and i think smith just is more talented.

where the eagles had to dominate was the tackle positions. I thought sweat and reddick were not a little better but significantly better brown and Wylie. If we are being honest Wylie and brown got the better of sweat, reddick and graham.

Just think if Seaumalo doesn’t lean good chance we win. First down at the 50 leading 14-7 😏 I still keep him if he is reasonably priced

I'm back.

Some other board was lucky enough to receive my posting services last night.

I'll have a pretty busy day today,  but I'll share some thoughts on the game later.  Didn't want you guys to miss out on them.

Don't be too down today.  I'm shocked. But not depressed with this one.  The QB/Coach/GM combo will have us back in contention very soon.  And I think having a pretty recent win also helped my mood.

Can’t put the game in the refs’ hands. Defense literally couldn’t get off the field in the second half. Mahomes/Reid just carved us up with ease.
