Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Agree with the vast majority of this.

They are absolutely drafting a dlineman in R1. My preference is DE, CB with those two picks.

Extend Chauncey and draft Brian Branch, safety fixed. I am looking at signing a CB, Jamel Dean or Cam Sutton would do. I do like some of the corners this year but the free agents frees up the draft to focus on the lines early. Though I want Daron Payne and Dre'Mont Jones too

Feels like Mahomes had way more than 182 passing yards

What on earth happened to our front 7 last night

KC had a great game plan with lots of screens, draws, and short passes to negate the pass rush.

I also think the field was a big factor. You could see Reddick and Sweat slipping all game long. The field completely negated our edge rushers. The misdirection confused the interior on running plays.

That loss hurt as much as any loss. I'm devestated and in disbelief.

KC had a lot of contribution from their rookies. Eagles had none.

Reid totally neutralized the pass rush with short quick passing, which also exploited our below average linebackers.

Gannon was no where to be found with adjustments.

Hurts showed out. Damn shame.

I think he's a young pup out there. I will avoid all my emotions from last night and say, give him some time. He's a huge mold of clay with crazy measureables. Coaching will critical for him too. I say we need to give him another year, easily, to start to see more. But he can bust, I'm not going to deny it anymore.

Yep.

No idea how you get all the way to the Super Bowl and still don't trust your MVP level QB to make plays with his arm on 3rd and 4th down?  Vanilla level game plan for the Super Bowl.

Pathetic.

Here’s the challenge to Howie this offseason:

The SB loser hangover is real.  Not inevitable, but real.  They weren’t quite good enough this year (barely missed), but the anchor of that hangover on their back, the tougher schedule, and the difficulty of repeating their injury luck this year combine to stack a lot against them.

What am I getting at?  We won’t be back here next year if Howie simply turns himself into a pretzel trying to keep everyone around.

Screw all the FAs.  With the possible exception of Bradberry and Hargrave…they were all box checkers, no difference makers.  And Bradberry and Hargrave were no more than that in the playoffs anyway.

So I’m fine with letting them all go, sans CJGJ.  And go find a couple difference makers to make this team better, on paper, in the offseason.   It’ll generate some early hype and excitement to combat that hangover curse.

There is some youth behind the veterans, thankfully.  I agree, let this group turn over and see if the core can navigate a weak NFC.

The draft is monumental now.  Absolutely cannot whiff on the 2 first rounders

Agreed. It goes in the column of horrible losses, very near the top. Maybe even the top spot considering the talent this team had and records being set. I knew the talk of this team being the best eagles team ever was total nonsense. Kudos to all us Gannon haters. We had this guy sniffed out a long time ago and he proved us right last night. Sad

I feel that Kelce is 100% coming back. He’s not going out like that.

If one is going to drop 7 every play and expect to stop limit run with 4 then the big guy in the middle that was a 1st rounder needs to do way better

KC interior O line handled the eagles Interior D line all game, sure the slippery field helped the o lines but still the eagles d line lost in the trenches.

I didn't post last night because I was fuming and not in a good place.

That said, we were outcoached.  Plain and simple.  Andy Reid and his coaching staff played chess while we were playing checkers.

From top to bottom, we had the better roster.  No excuses.

How in the world do you not trust your MVP level QB to throw the ball on 3rd and 5 with 3 elite receivers is beyond comprehension?

So you call a QB draw, while KC's defense was still firing on all cylinders?  And their arrogance when they came back and called it a few more times (maybe to prove a point?) I don't know.  It worked later on but it still makes no freaking sense.

If you don't trust your QB to throw the damn ball on 3rd or 4th down then that QB shouldn't be starting.  But the fact of the matter is that QB is more than capable of throwing the ball in those situations - especially when you have 3 elite level receivers in Brown, Smith and Goedert.  Trust your QB to make plays with his arm in those situations!

The best thing that can happen to this team is Steichen getting a another coaching position somewhere else.  Good riiddens.

And I'm not going to get on Sirianni - he's a good coach but he was out coached and out classed by a master.  Andy Reid and his coaching staff developed an elite level - Super Bowl worthy game plan.

Our coaching staff let their arrogance get to their heads and got smacked in the face because of it.

Wait hold up. You're completely getting on the wrong coordinator here. The Eagles are a 4 down team in a lot of situations. They're usually very clever and effective in running out of 3rd & medium against defences expecting pass. This often gets them to 4th & 1 for an automatic sneak. So there's nothing wrong in the rationale of a QB draw against what should be a favorable match up, with the intention of getting to 4th & 1 if you don't convert. They just didn't execute. Usually they do.

They scored 35 points in a Superbowl. Steichen called a fantastic game. You can't reasonably ask for much more than that. Steichen will be a big loss if he leaves.

Looking at the other side of the ball, the Chiefs are the #1 offense in the league - so that's a tough match up - but statistically they had one of their best games of the season. The Eagles D underperformed relative to how other teams have fared against the Chiefs. That should be the focus.

35 most scored by a Super Bowl loser

Gannon did this, one stop after halftime we win. It sucks but it wasn’t embarrassing again it sucks but future is bright. God himself Burrow has lost one too, so. ….

Most of their big runs came off tackle. They generally didn't get a ton up the middle. They were abusing our (lack of) LBs.

Yeah it's easy to get on the defense but at the end of the day, it's the Super Bowl and a good offense, with an elite QB are going to make plays and score points.

Our offensive game plan is what cost us the game.

Designed 3rd and 4th down QB draws?

Running the ball - same exact play twice in a row - didn't work the 2nd time so you abandon the run for the rest of the game because of your dumb mistake?

A pee wee level coach could have called a better game.  Infuriating.

I was so hoping that Gannon would prove me wrong, I was pretty critical of him to begin the year then seems the d turned it on inky to give us a lump of fools gold in the biggest most important game of the year

1 incompletion in the 2nd half???

Dude isn't good.

Yep 4for4 banned for using confused emojis and people reporting him for it.

Mike suspended but I don’t think he’s coming back.

Undytaker suspended too.

Hazleton suspended as well.

All right before the Super Bowl.

Really need the Cardinals to hire Gannon.

That's the only optimistic way to look at this is the offensive core is young and will be back.  That defense will never be as talented again but it didn't matter because of Gannon.  Maybe with less talent but a better coordinator they can put up a better defensive performance if they ever get back.

I just can't believe that we lost that.

The call on Bradberry was illegal. Defensive holding is allowed within 5 yards. The teams were evenly matched, so don't give me the "we shouldn't have let it come to that" BS. They gave Mahomes the SB. This was even worse than the BS PI that gave the game to the Rams last year.

Goodell the past two years personally tending to his precious 800,000 turf.

What??? Dude we had 0 stops in the 2nd half.

These statistics that are rolling in this morning are absolutely horrific.  The defense was actually much worse than they even looked.

Gannon needs to explain why it was a good idea to keep sending his DL running into anchored OL all night on a slop fest field.  Early on they showed some presnap movement and had Riddick moving around.

As the night went on our rush plan got simpler and simpler:. Sweat and Reddick try a speed rush, fall down, and get flattened by their OLman.  Thr DTs got double or tripled and did nothing.  All 2nd half.
