Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Good for Chris, but it sucks about his career

Damn.  That's some coin.  Wonde what Bradley did that was wrong.  He's the go to knee guy.

If Gannon leaves and they actually bring in someone with some vision, it might not be a bad thing.

The head coach is aggressive. The OC is aggressive. The DC is passive. He plays back, barely blitzes, and takes way too long to adjust. They need a defensive coach that matches the personality of the coach.

I feel like Dennard would be first in line for the job. Totally unsure if that's the way I want to go. No clue on what style or scheme he would favor.

I think the plan was to go with fangio if Gannon left. The cardinals being a dumpster fire organization in their search basically screwed the eagles in that replacement by waiting as long as they did to finally interview Gannon.

I don’t know who’s out there or if they just go in house replacement for Gannon. I’d go outside the organization. I think a different philosophy and adapting to the personnel strengths we have is a better way to go.

even more paint on the field next year

I don’t remember seeing it but it was definitely like 25 yards short so that makes sense.

Tbh I’m more worried about the defense needing to still be built after we bought a year in 2022. At the moment sweat, reddick, slay, maddox, Davis and Dean are the only guys back next year. Meaning you have 5bstarting spots open and very little depth. It’s why to me winning this year was massive. Next year you likely aren’t as good defensive and might take 1-2 years to get yourself back to the spot where we have as much talent defensive. And by that time lane and kelce could be done on offense.

The Eagles won’t be back there for awhile unfortunately.  This was their shot and they blew it.  At least we’ll always have SB 52

So would I. I mean I get giving Dennard a chance, but they need a new vision for defense here, especially because there will be a lot of turnover.

They overturned this with no "conclusive evidence".

The CB also hits Smith early, which is why they felt there was a bobble.

Absolutely disgusting it was overturned.  Chiefs had everything go their way in that game and they win by just 3 points.  I still can't belief we didn't win. Cannot shake it.

Embrace a thought, call it a fact, back it with opinion.

We had no sacks, (one close), neither did they...

Level field...both sides...

I've already stated that and looking deeper as I've tried ive stated the way the eagles defense is set up it is dependent on getting g pressure from 4 man and they did that better all year than any other team and better than any team in something like the last 30 years.

Negate that ability and it significantly has a trickle down effect in the whole defense team and game.

KC defense against hurts isn't as reliant on creating pressure with 4 man fronts it is more reliant in containing hurts in the pocket not over rushing or getting up field too quick and leaving him rush lanes

Mush rushing is pretty easy when it's slippery or at least less difficult than an upfield speed rush

Reddicks Game is all about speed and quickness off the edge, that was totally nullified by the field.

One can say as you have that that same applies to the chiefs but again the eagles defense is predicated in getting pressure with 4 to negatively affect the QB, where as KCs was contain hurts run ability which is why he was running up the middle so much as the KC edges were just parked. On the edges containing.

The field conditions unfortunately we're unfavorable to the way the eagles play defense and not as much as the way the chiefs defended hurts.

Id argue the debate should be how much so, not whether it did or not as I clearly think it did .

I’m popping in and out so sorry if that was already posted. Looks like they’re counting the five man front as a blitz so obviously misleading.

One thing to note about Gannon is that he’s still a young DC. He obviously had a system that has a decent floor with good players. But he needs to prove he can actually provide a sliver of resistance against top quarterbacks. I’m not sure what he can do to improve in this area, but it’s not out of the question that he can learn and adapt.

I'd go with Foles. There were some decisions that I didn't like from Hurts and his hail mary was horrible

Both played great though

Foles without a question, but that was a special circumstance that can't be repeated. He didn't have to punt once. Hurts did. Foles didn't give NE 7 points. Hurts did. I didn't like the short pass to Gainwell...I know he was thinking it was 4 downs, but that line of thinking is flawed as well. Get the damn ball over the line and trust Brown/Smith vs rookies singled up.

I’d rather have a veteran DC that can build up the young kids and put them in positions of strength. I think an issue this year we played to what Gannon wanted to do, what he knows best and his comfortable zone. and less to the strengths of some of the personnel we had

Yep. Those MOFOs pushed the challenge button without even getting a good look at it. Unless they see something that was obvious it's BS to stop game play in that situation. We know why they did, but that's freaking BS. You don't stop the SB to go fishing....which is exactly what they were doing...and if it takes you 5 min to decide you can't overturn it because it's not that obvious and clear.

He could. The question is do you want to risk your championship window on it?

Conspiracy Theory coming up...Not crying, just highlighting...

1.5 pts the Line...

Tied up with 2:43 to go..Vegas wants the Chiefs...

Hack into to Cheffers headset, (already in there) tell him they need a KC push. He knows which side his bread is buttered on...

Instructs his Downfield Ref to throw a Ghost flag for something they've been letting go all game...at the most key moment of the game...

Give KC the end shot, beat the Line and make millions...but, you know, it's just football....

We see you A holios.... :Eagle_smiley:

If people think that doesn't happen they are delusional...or think it only happens in the NBA with their refs. That's on the Eagles d for letting it be that close. That f'ing fumble cost them the game the moment it happened.

Tbh i really don’t have any faith he’s going to learn and adapt when going forward he’s gonna have lesser personnel next year and with more inexperience and younger talent. If there was a time to adapt it was gonna be with a bulk of veteran players and one of the most talented units any of our defensive coordinators were given since the early 2000s. I think this team had more talent than the 2017 defense and yet he still allowed mahomes to complete 78% of his passes, chiefs to run for 158 yards and convert 4-5 in the red zone which probably should be 5-5.

frankly i think he gets the cardinals job. And i think it might be best for both him and the eagles going forward
