Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Ravens are 3-1 without Lamar Jackson, and Huntley has basically played like hot garbage.

Looks like the Ravens as a team have stepped up and covered the back up QB

Same deal with Dallas and San Francisco who’s on their third QB this season. Good teams find a way to persevere, so that’s why I’m not so woe is me over Hurts being out and it’s also why I don’t think him coming back solves all their issues.

It's a Gameday staple.

Smoked gouda and smoked cheddar are vital to the weekends.

This guy gets it.

It's always all about the Cheese...

All things in moderation though.  Too much cheese leads to some rough times ahead.

Speaking of food, just got home and ready to throw the ribeyes on the grill only to find out that my wife bought NY strips instead.  Doh!  NY strip is the Minshew of steaks.  Looks good but ultimately disappoints compared to the real deal.

So much for that New Years resolution, I'm making a blue cheese stuffed olive martini!

Nitpicking here but not once when they showed Hurts on the sideline was he talking to any coaches, players or anything.  He looked annoyed and by himself the entire game.  I would have liked to see him more engaged with Minshew or the OL at the very least.  I'm sure he was and the cameras just never caught it, but that's also the sort of thing broadcasts love to show.

I didn't want to be the one to bring this up, glad someone did.  He looked disinterested all day.

Where is the leadership that I have heard about all year ??

Cheers on the martini!

Smoked gouda is my go to.  Have to be careful though, sometimes if not done right it can smell like straight up cigarettes in your fridge.  At least some of the stuff I've bought from local cheese makers has.

Interesting point. But at the same time, I doubt Minshew really needs the starter coming over and telling him how bad he messed up. The coaches are talking about what they’re seeing. Jalen’s two sense wouldn’t be that productive.

There’s no such thing as a bad steak if you cook it properly.

Besides Salisbury steak. That’s gross.

So True, Moderation, but Cheese is essential.

Just ask the Cow in your backyard if she feels needed. Bet she does....

It's not about Hurts telling him he messed up.  You would hope he could say, hey in the games I played in this year, I noticed these tendencies.  AJ likes the ball thrown here or make sure your cadence is tightened up.  Any sort of support would can go a long way.

He looked like he didn't even want to be there.

I heard he is planning on working with Tom Brady's trainer in the offseason to improve his sideline demeanor.

Salisbury mystery meat isn’t the best selling point

How do you all know Hurts didn't give advice to Minshew because you didn't see it on the sidelines?

Maybe he talked to him at half and was brushed off. Everyone isn't receptive to constructive criticism.

No chance they flex us since the giants clinched a playoff spot right

Circling back to this...

Sous vide is such a glorious cooking method to make just about every cut of steak into a beautiful and tender piece of meat.   And I was first informed about it here in the blog.

A decent sous vide machine runs only about $125 now, which is extremely affordable, especially if you like tender, delicious steak and can't always afford the 'good cuts' all the time.   The savings in meat cost more than makes up the cost of the device in a single year of use!

There is a fine line.

Smoked gouda I get from our local Harris Teeter is the bee's knees.
