Let's address the elephant in the room...

Jordan Davis is invisible. For someone that big and athletic, he sure does a lot of nothing.

I see what you did there.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

You don't normally notice NT, unless you're getting gashed. Still, Davis needs more snaps. But Gannon going to Gannon.

I got crap for beating that horse last week.  If he weren’t a first round pick and they didn’t use 3 DTs on the field so often, he might not be active on game days.

This year is basically over for him; his conditioning is what it is for this year and his playing time won’t change.

There are 5 DTs ahead of him on the depth chart, but 4 of them aren’t under contract next year.  So he’ll get his chances to right the ship next year.

see my post late last night.  Completely invisible.  I know Cam Jurgens has played in some packages and that he shows a ton of promise as Kelce's replacement in time but this draft class so far...woof.

I’m not blaming that one on Gannon.

Trading 4 draft picks to move up 2 spots to take a NT that we hope not to notice.  Wasn't a fan then, bigger non fan now.

An underwhelming draft class from Howie with the team winning games on the back of proven veteran trades and signings?

Its like this isn’t the first time in the last decade we’ve seen this…

Gannon might be the most conservative DC in the NFL. How many snaps have rookies gotten from him in 2 years?

Let’s hope they do just enough in the playoffs to get him a head coaching gig.

You don’t notice him because he’s not on the field.  People know what NT do and don’t do.  We don’t need you to explain that to us.  Point is, we know the numbers on the jerseys and are able to see the personal for each play.

Yep.

You don't spend a top pick on a guy who offers no value other than filling a hole for 10 snaps a game.

They beat them last year with HURTS running the snot out of them.  Hurts was actually the leading rusher (in attempts) that game with 18.  Certainly don't want that with Minshew.  Then again, I don't want that with Hurts either!

I'm sure Sanders would've done a good job yesterday. He looked good when they did give him the ball. They just abandoned it. And why not bring up Sermon? Give him some touches to see.

This isn't pro Minshew or anti-Hurts, it's anti sports journalism comment.

This is how the article begins.  First 3 sentences.

Jalen Hurts would have looked up. Jalen Hurts wouldn’t have thrown the pass.

Jalen Hurts would have won the game.

How exactly do you know any of this Dave Zangaro?  Hurts is good, we know that.  But the whole Hurts does nothing wrong spin has been going on for over a year.  It's nauseating. I heard Jalen Hurts can lower gas prices.

Run the ball. Seems to be the common thread this year. It’s the one thing all Eagles fans can agree on. Why this staff completely abandons the run on a constant basis, especially in close games, is beyond me.

One of the picks was used to get Brown so you have to factor that in somewhere. Otherwise, too early to tell as is often the case during year one.

Hurts has his faults, all qbs do. But he’s certainly better than Minshew and the fact anyone thought otherwise is crazy.

Yea, but that was a trade...Howie has proven more often than not, he can win a trade.  There are the Golden Tate, Browns LB and Robert Quinn fails but for the most part, if Howie doesn't have to use the pick that's the better result.

Yeah I know but it was also a result of the draft.

Also, yes there were Tate/Quinn but there was also Ajayi/Joseph.

This.  Everybody wants draft picks to be immediate performers but sometimes it takes some time for them to get caught up to speed, to mature and build their bodies.  Add to that, a talented roster in front of them and a rookie having impact in year 1 is a rarity.  Still have high hopes for the '22 draft class.

It’s very hard to win a game in the nfl if you don’t actually try to win.

And deciding to try in the second half when you realize you aren’t coasting to a W doesn’t count.  I mean preparing all week, using the players actually available to you, and making a game plan to win instead of a game plan to disguise your tendencies for the playoffs.

That’s trying to win.  And even with a really good team against a really bad one, apparently you still have to try.

And now they are embarrassed into trying to win the one game they should have spent popping champagne and bubble wrapping everyone.

Sirianni’s smug look at yesterday’s press conference still bothers me. The sense of "I’m smarter than you” while your team looks completely hapless two weeks in a row is infuriating.

He got away with it in Dallas because for some reasons fans actually thought that display in Dallas was OK (why folks here overrate that Dallas team, I have no clue); he won’t get away with that this week.

His team looks worse than last years’ version.

I don’t really care for him. He hasn’t won me over at all. He continues to make mistakes and allow things like this to happen. He doesn’t make in game or weekly adjustments. He just doesn’t seem to get it.

Gotta hope that he blooms next year when they need him, I doubt Joseph is back.   We have to hope that the long game works with him and we get big contributions from him during his rookie contract.  But... Howie's track record of drafting defense is very weak.
