Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I feel like recent year’s they play the games at the same time. I know the eagles/Dallas game years ago they had the games prior to the eagles that needed to happen

Yeah but if giants play starters/the eagle have a big lead; say late in third SF/DALL will start pulling their starters

Would be a big fan of adding him in the 1st.

Curious what Eagles do with punter since they can’t elevate Kern anymore until the playoffs. Simple solution would have been just sign someone else to the PS and elevate him for the game but now that this game is meaningful, I wonder if they take that risk with the punter/holder.

When I brought this up a couple weeks ago people were saying just have Elliott do punter duties.

He says he didn’t realize Foles was hurt.  Regardless, I wouldn’t mind seeing one of our guys put him on his butt next week.

He didn't realize it because it was the longest sack celebration I've ever seen in my life.  A 30 second snow angel.

Tends to be what happens. They just want drama in the late afternoon for at least a little bit

Wasn’t it fully expected to be in the late window?

Ah... the guy that just stands there so you know what the uniform looks like.  Got it.

so I'm guess DALL/SF play at 1300 so they dont pull starters

49ers play at home so that game will definitely be a late game. Dallas is on the road at Fed Ex and Philly is home. So it’s entirely possible all games are later games but that’s going to really water down the 1:00 games, especially with there being two games Saturday.

I expected it as soon as they lost. If they won i think it stayed at the 1pm time slot. Frankly the best thing for the nfl in terms of viewers was that the eagles lost so adds to the drama going on in week 18. Nfc have the 1 seed race plus lions/packers playing each other and with Seahawks competing for the 7 seed. I’m guessing lions/packers is also 4:25 start as seattle is always around that time slot at home

Purdue was in the big 10 championship 🤣🤣

I don't think it's going to be any drama though for that #1 seed.  This is a move because its  NFC East and that will be ratings but I think the better play would have been to put these games at 1 PM and then the 4 PM focus games would be Packers @ Lions and Seahawks @ Rams.  Those two games are going to determine the  #7 seed and no team in any the two games will be resting players, all though Rams do suck.

Since I was at the game and haven’t watched the tv coverage (other than Dickerson’s holding penalty which I was curious about) there’s a play that I wonder if people are actually aware about. After the third and short play where they threw deep to DeVonta Smith, the Eagles were forced to punt. As they were getting ready to snap the ball, two Eagles players about forty yards downfield (I have to assume one of them was Smith) were late getting off the field. At the last second, one of them made it to the sideline, but the other was probably still about two or three strides from the sideline when the ball was snapped. It was as obvious an infraction as there could possibly be. I know that too many men on the field is challengeable, so I wonder why the Saints didn’t bother to do so. Maybe the five yards wouldn’t simply be tacked on to the end of the resulting play. But if it would be, it was a free five yards. And it was a lazy look for the Eagles.

I'm neither pro or anti NIL in college football.  I don't have a problem with players making money off their likeness when it comes to jersey sales, autographs, appearances and such.  However, I think it's going to, if not already turn in to schools straight up just buying players.  Hearing RGIII explain it as it's nice for players to make some living wage money while talking about Caleb Williams renting a private jet for his OL to go to the Heisman ceremony is laughable.  Great gesture by Williams and he certainly can afford it.  Wouldn't call that living wage money though.  That's professional athlete money.

College sports are dying.

That holding penalty on Dickerson is probably the worst call/no call of the entire season. The Goedert no face mask was bad but the ref could have had a bad angle or something. Calling holding on Dickerson just made no sense at any level.

I believe it was suggested that Elliot punting was an option but that the more likely scenario would be for the Eagles to sign a guy just for this week. Elliott punting would only be an option if the game was meaningless.

Kern has been disappointing anyway, so I wouldn’t care much if they replaced him altogether.

Harbaugh where is he going? Cardinals?

Reason why they put it in the late afternoon time slot is cause eagles, Dallas and niners can all get the 1 seed. There’s a story of "potential drama” unfolding all at the same time. Can’t have it at the same time if dallas vs Washington and eagles vs giants at 1 pm. as SF is home to Arizona. They are never going to move SF vs. Az to 1pm (est) time slot as it would be a 10am start in SF. So that’s why you are getting dallas, eagles and niners all in that slot. And if they just did eagles and Dallas games early and left SF late then if the eagles won then SF is not going to play anyone and it becomes completely meaningless

Is Siposs due to return?  If so... then sure.  I want a holder we can trust for the playoffs though.

Yea, it was terrible.

Another penalty that had an effect on the outcome wasn't a bad call but Sirianni accepting it.  I forget the penalty but the Saints were set up to have 3rd and 6.  They took the penalty to give them 2nd and 11 and proceeded to give up 8 yards so the Saints were then left with 3rd and 3 and scored.  Hindsight is 20/20 like we always say but giving a team an extra down in the RZ is a mistake.  Just like the spike last week took a down away from the Eagles on their final drive, this play gave the Saints an extra play.
