What was visible by camera looked fairly routine…similar to what everyone saw replayed 100x with Tua.  Players get up and collapse sometimes.  But the look of absolute panic on all the players and coaches faces is horrifying.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

This is awful - I fear he may have had some kind of aneurysm or heart attack or something the way he just collapsed

I can't even conjure a guess.  Just awful.   Looked fairly innocuous in the moment.

They had to preform an emergency tracheotomy in college years back. Wonder if similar

How do you keep playing after something like that

Maybe you don't.   Depends on the severity.

Stuff like this is why I am actively afraid for the future of this game. As players keep getting bigger and faster, one day there is going to be an incident so horrifying at the wrong time, it's going to change the league forever.

What happened?

Yes the way they’re acting leads me to believe they’re having to perform life saving measures on the field

He made a routine tackle, stood up and just collapsed

Oh no... Administering CPR on the field is BAD news.    Really bad news.

Wow they’re administering CPR my god.

I wonder if they postpone the game.

It was the year the Chiefs won with all this speed so that’s what teams were gonna do. If you had speed you were getting drafted that year. No matter how bad your hands were

People loved ruggs. Of the top 3 that’s who most eagles fans wanted. I liked him but i thought he fans went overboard with his speed and i rather have had lamb over ruggs. Thought then jeudy and lamb were better WRs. Ruggs being a complete moron helped cement that now. That said i think jeudy has been underwhelming but he also hasn’t been helped by Qb play

Damn! Performing CPR.

CPR? Oh my God.

He might be dead.

Just said they are doing CPR

This may be that moment.

Safety came up and made a tackle on the WR.  Heads kind of jarred together... nothing out of the ordinary.   He popped up, and then immediately collapsed on to his back.

Scary.  Never seen anything like it.   Never want to again.

This is not a normal football injury.  CPR, ugh.

Uhhhh did Hamlin just die on the field???

down for 9 minutes, CPR for over 2....this isn't good at all.  I can't believe what we're seeing.  Hope and pray that Hamlin makes it my goodness.

Has a player ever died on the field?

Yeah this wasn’t a head trauma injury it was worse

Hamlin made a tackle, got up like he was fine, and dropped 2 seconds later motionless.

I don’t think?

Obviously... you know nothing of the particulars... but could this be a situation like a Hank Gathers where there was some sort of underlying health issue that was just never identified.

Kid must have a cardiac abnormality that was undiagnosed

If you noticed when he tackled Mixon, Mixons helmet went directly into Hamlin’s chest.
