Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

You can’t continue this game can you?

absolutely not, NFL needs to own this and call the game.

That's the scary part, at some point no amount of rules will make the game safer, but the speed and size of the players will keep making it more dangerous.

At that point, don't think this game will have a future.

No….he just kinda falls over like the lights were turned off suddenly

Christian Eriksen, soccer player, died on the pitch a few years with a heart attack and was bought back to life.

Not a fun video to watch

He must still be alive if they are going to continue...

but how can they?  Honestly... how can they play this game the rest of the way?

And he’s playing again, miraculously

CALL THE FING GAME

Nope, there was nothing out of the ordinary about the hit.  Nothing at all that could be changed by rules.

This is gross that they’re continuing honestly

I can’t believe they’re gonna try to play

Its not the job of the Bills players or coaches to say they are OK. They are not OK.

Postpone the game, you monsters!

They postpone games for lightning and snow. This is far worse.

This is where the NFL needs to step in and call it so that none of these people need to make the call.

Call the F'in game.

Flag football is gaining stream

If the young man has past away or passes in the ambulance and they continue this game, it says something very wrong about the league and us as a society.

There are multiple things that could cause a player to lose their airway…

1.  Traumatic brain injury resulting in a loss of respiratory drive.  This is extremely unlikely given the way he passed out after standing up.

2. High cervical spinal cord injury.  Again, extremely unlikely.  He would have needed to dislocate his craniocervical junction on the play and then actually had the injury to the spinal cord itself while getting up.  Extremely unlikely.

3. Airway crushed on the play.  DIdn’t happen.  Wouldn’t have gotten up.

1-3 may require an intubation in the field, but not 9 minutes of sustained chest compressions, as there would be a pulse but no airway.

4. Cardiac problem.  I know the least about this and figure this may be the most likely.  This is what kills young athletes.

Game is temporarily suspended

Postpone it

Yeah they must have successfully stabilized him if there is even consideration of continuing.  I’m assuming that’s good news.

Correct.   This game is meaningless compared to what is happening right now.

This is where Goodell needs to step in and shut it down. God forbid another serious injury happens, then it's... I don't even know...

Even if he was dead they would continue to work at him and wouldn’t call it until he was at the hospital- so I’m sure these guys don’t know anything

Just call it a tie
