Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Go the F away...right now...

Get over yourself. We do not need to have a prayer service here and we are all taking this seriously.

I am listening to this on the radio while watching hockey and have been for over an hour.

If some people wanted to stop brooding on this and look at a sports highlight they can. If they don't then they won't.

Conflicting reports out there.  One media outlet says he was on oxygen, which implies breathing on his own with a mask.  Another says not breathing on his own but with a pulse, which implies he was intubated on the field.

Lets all chill with the twitter clickbait for a bit

So you know exactly how long his heart wasn't beating? You aren't on the scene. You have zero clue. So don't go off saying crap like it's "only a matter of time until he's declared dead"

Sorry but Hamiln is in an extremely dire situation. Going off of someone who has been around countless people who have received cpr what I was told by him is he hasn't seen anyone come back from needing cpr that long.  Hope I'm wrong but it's not good.

There is no defensible reasoning to have this game continue.

Incidentally, Chuck Hughes was drafted by the Eagles and spent most of his career with the Eagles. I remember seeing him play many times. He was only with Detroit for one year. It turns out that he had an undiagnosed heart condition.

He had a heart attack in the preseason, was also diagnosed with other issues, but insisted on continuing to play. https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2021/10/24/50-years-ago-detroit-lions-chuck-hughes-died-of-heart-attack-during-game/

Go F yourself.  We just saw a player likely die on the field.

Dude you need to stop. You have zero clue of his condition. Stop spouting about something you know nothing about.

As soon as I saw the look on McDermott's face, I knew something was terribly wrong.

How Fing soulless would you have to be to resume play?

Yep.  McDermott's face early... then when they came back there was almost terror, but definitely shock on the face of Allen... and Diggs... and a defender teammate was in tears.

If Goodell makes these players play, it would be the lowest point in the 103 year history of the NFL.

You've "gone off of people" huh? I've been doing this for 20 years. You are talking out your ass.

I suppose it could have been a cardiac arythmia induced from a chest trauma.  But that’s rare too…

Neither do you! What we do know is he was receiving CPR for over 20 Fing minutes on the field before they took him out in ambulance. That is not good!

Are you that sick and gross that you want a football ame to continue that badly?

Thank you for sharing your experience. It helps in a time of trying to be hopeful for this young man and his family.

Better not to share.  Not surprising though that Skip would be disgusting.

If they haven’t seen someone come back from 9 minutes of CPR, then they either are really bad at CPR or don’t do it often.

I actually think the broadcast crew has done a good job with handling this situation

Gives some hope on what it could be and be ok long term

No I don't know his condition. That's why I'm not saying something stupid like "it's only a matter of time until he's declared dead". That was you.
