Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Sanders isn't the only RB on the roster.  And if they can't rely on Gainwell or Scott or Sermon at all, then they shouldn't be on the roster.  Pure and simple.   Next man up.

I don't think it's got much to do with what we have at tailback, it's not like they were asking Minshew to go out there and throw 40 yard bombs, the Brown TD was pretty much the only deep shot he was asked to throw and it had all the zip of a pass thrown by my mom, if your QB can't complete quick slants, hitches and screens when it counts, all the opposing defense is going to do is stack the box, cheat a safety up and dare you to throw it over the top, Minshew saw ghosts and ate sacks before anything deep could develop, could barely hit 50% of underneath stuff and we're probably the worst team in the league at running off the edge.

I 100% feel for the kid and hope he comes through this and is able to play again, but this is getting ridiculous.

Nobody stopped what they were doing when Henry Ruggs killed an innocent woman and her dog.

Nothing like throwing your defense under the bus and completely ignoring the fact you went pass happy against (at the time) 2nd ranked pass defense who got Lattimore back with your backup Qb playing and a team that was then 23rd ranked run defense.

They got the date wrong on this. Should have been released on april 1st

It's almost incredible that the team on the field hasn't been as bad as the Browns or Lions during their low points, because that entire Commanders front office needs to be fired.  They are almost unfailing in their complete ignorance and incompetence with virtually every initiative or event they put forward.

They're facing a lawsuit from the actual 'Hogs', who have a trademark on everything 'hogs' related, because the organization let their trademark expire more than 30 years ago.  The club was even warned they would face litigation if they unveiled this mascot as scheduled.

Just sheer incompetence.  I had to look up what "Tuddy" is even supposed to mean.  It was apparently chosen by fans, which is somehow unsurprising.

Yeah I think it's a little weird that everyone is falling over themselves trying to show everyone they care about Hamlin more than everyone else. Feels extremely fake.

Agreed.  You can feel for the kid and pray he is Ok and able to play again.  People acting like they are his friend or family is over the top.

tuddy is short for touchdown. Still awful name. Captain touchhammy is where it’s at.

It's all just damage control

Huh?  Where do you get that from?   He’s the best RB they have had since Lesean McCoy.   How do you get that they don’t trust him?

Because they gave him 12 carries in a game where he should have had 20+ with a backup QB starting.

If Sanders is hurting, they should bench him against the Giants. Playing an RB, who gets hit every play, with a bad knee, is a bad idea. Scott/Gainwell are good enough to carry the load for one game. Scott is a the Giant Killer, after all.

We don't need Sanders against the Giants.  We have the Giant-slayer... Mighty Mouse, Boston Scott.

I don't think he threw the defense under the bus.  I think that was him talking about the offense inability to maintain possession of the ball.

And that was his fault, and Steichens fault.

I think their RBBC was a bit screwy against the Saints.  Listening to Merrill on the broadcast it seemed like Scott was on the field much more than Gainwell.  When I checked the snap counts it was:

Sanders -- 22

Scott -- 18

Gainwell -- 15

I guess I should assume it's because Scott is better in pass pro, but it seemed to me that Gainwell was effective on his targets and should have been used more.  I think he's simply a better player than Boston Scott.

He could have phrased it better but what he meant was that it wasnt the defense struggling to get off the field as much as it was the offense not being able to get a single first down

False equivalence.

Reading the full quote he starts off with the defense and the opening drive then gets into the offense that really really contributed to it. I don’t disagree with him about that 9 minute drive but i wouldn’t have brought that up as the first reason when discussing it and just focused on the offense not sustaining drives. The 9 min drive should’ve been maybe a brief mention meanwhile the offense was the one that was briefly mentioned at the end of the quote. That quote was 5 sentences long. 3 were explaining the 9 min drive and then one brief mention about the offenses’ 3 and out

"The best way to explain the time of possession is our lack of possessing the football on offense," Sirianni said. "Now, there's a lot that goes into that first drive. They gave us their best punch there on offense and then our defense buttoned up the rest of the game. To have a nine minute drive, that's a long drive to start the game off and that contributes to that off whack time of possession. But it's the three and outs that really, really contribute to that."

What's not being discussed enough is how porous and soft the middle of the defense looked on the first couple of drives.  It was ridiculous.

Dalton finished the game with an 81% completion percentage.  Their zone defense is awful.  It doesn't confuse opposing QBs.  He allows for easy completions and doesn't effectively defend any part of the field.  It's like HS or college football where the players seem to have no idea of what they will be facing in route concepts on a given play.  So they all just play their "zone" regardless of what the receivers are doing.

We have witnessed two consecutive weeks of poor coaching. This does not inspire confidence with the playoffs approaching.

Best RB since McCoy?  Why?  Because of a 90 yard run like 3 years ago??

Blount, Ajayi, hell even Jordan Howard and Ryan Mathews were just as effective as Miles.

Without Maddox and CGJ in there, the pass defense is a serious concern.  Scott's INT was the first incompletion of the game by the Saints -- was that shortly before halftime?

The offense sputtered  and Minshew had a poor game, but on offense sometimes you have to find a rhythm.  That's hard to do when you're barely on the field.  The entire team played poorly against the Saints.

What happen last night was the saddest thing I've ever seen in a sports game. Very sad. I hope Hamlin recovers. F the game after that
