How could anyone criticize Tee Higgins for that play?   He was playing football.   Anyone saying anything against Higgins is just ignorant, trolling or the lowest of the low.

Did you miss the whole Bart Scott thing?

Sigh... I did not see this, but I've never been impressed by Scott.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Scott is a moron... still.   Moving on.    He's criticizing Higgins for 'playing football'.  Someone should go back to watch Scott's career plays and show him how many times he does the exact same thing to a ball carrier as Higgins did.

Whats more important, meaningless interviews and a flag football game, or actually having fair results on the field determine seeding?

Put yourself in a Bills or Bengals' fans shoes. None of your ideas make any sense in terms of actual football results and fair play

The more important thing is what makes the league money.  So which do you think?

Why anyone watches that crap is beyond me?? I guess it's no different than watching a staged/fake realityshow a ton of people watch. I dont get it. I guess for those with the cheap seats.

Looks to me like he gets about half way into it, hears himself saying what he's saying, and realizes "I sound full of sh!t, but I'm going to keep talking anyway"

I didn't know this, but his Hamlin's uncle said he needed to be resuscitated 2x, once on the field and once again at the hospital.

I used to watch espn quite a bit back in the day when it used to be mostly sports highlights now it's just a competition of who can either talk the loudest or say the stupidest stuff or both.

I can't stand Stephen A. or Skip or all the other loud mouthed morons on ESPN or other sports shows of the same ilk.

fwiw his friend/marketing rep already refuted that and said it was false. Even though his Uncle said it.

That was by far the worst, most reckless take anyone had on the entire situation. 10x worse than what Bayless said. Higgins had to be and still has to be devastated after that ordeal which probably had one in a million chance of happening. Scott had zero awareness when he made that statement.

I've said this numerous times on here before - Bart Scott has to have CTE.  No other logical explanation, besides retardation, for saying the ish he says.

I saw that.   Which sucks... but that's completely unrelated to anyone criticizing Higgins.

He has zero awareness when he says most things.

since then theres a conflicting report saying he was only resuscitated once. On the field.

Is it possible that the progress that's being discussed without details actually be related to an EKG of Hamlin?   And that the EKG is showing encouraging information about any potential brain damage?

It’s going well

I also read somewhere else that he is currently in prone position on the ventilator. I don't know how much of a factor that is in the grand scheme of things or if its good/bad/common practice in situations like these.

My 2 year CPR cert just expired. Is it still 30 compressions?

You just want it to be less than 30 compressions so you can focus on dude mouth to mouth!

Lol how is that the most important thing?

You think the league will prioritize making a little money over actually treating the teams fairly and having a bona fide playoff seeding?

That would be extremely myopic and whicher team inevitably gets screwed - Bills, Bengals, Ravens, etc -- their fans and organization would be absolutely furious

It's basically The View for men.  All equally trash.

Sorry, not taking anything away from the severity of his situation.  Merely mocking the social media reaction to events these days.

Yes

No way.

First off, the NFL will still make an assload of money.  And if you think about it, the idea I wrote about actually plays all of the games--so no renegotiating advertising or television rights.  So the NFL and their partners will still make all the money.

I bet they'd greatly prefer to meet their obligations with broadcast/advertising partners and give up a flag football game than to reshuffle everything, potentially lose out on the revenue from Bills/Bengals

Second, the NFL clearly will prioritize fairness over any marginal losses.  Think about their positions and sensitivities with gambling. Youre talking about a season with an asterisk, forever stained as unfair.   If they use a random number generator, what is the point of playing games?  They cant devalue their own product

The NFL will always pick money over fairness.

They put GB in prime-time this week, even though it hurts the Lions.
