Yeah it wouldn’t be good for the Eagles at all. I’d say it would be unfair.  Exactly the kind of thing where making it fair for the Bills/Bengals affects someone else unfairly. Though if it happens so be it. There is no perfect solution.

With not bringing in any punters the last two days I guess the plan is to sign Kern to the roster unless they really decide to play this game without an actual punter, which would just be dumb.

They tried that 4 weeks ago and lost 48-22 at home.  Whether the Giants play their starters or not is really irrelevant.  Either the Eagles play as they are capable and take the #1 seed, or they don't.  The Giants' efforts don't have much to do with it.

Jalen Carter did not look like a Top 10 pick in the CFB Playoff

Pass rush really didn't get home

He spent half the game on the sideline getting oxygen and Pedialyte

That makes a lot of sense if Phoenix can handle doing the superbowl a week later. 
 

AFC playoff fates are secured without wacky compromises.

For the Eagles…normally, one might say the universal bye elevates other teams to the benefit the eagles alone earned.  But the Eagles have so many injuries and negative momentum right now…the extra week off will only help.

If the Eagles play the way they did last week, the game won’t be close (and the eagles will be on the road for wild card weekend).

If the Eagles play the way they did 4 weeks ago, the game won’t be close and they just might be resting starters in the 4th quarter.

I'm with you. I get it.  He's a great prospect.  UGA has NFL talent on every level of defense.  I know there's more to stats, but this kid is so good that on that UGA defense he can only come away with 14 tackles, 3 sacks and 2 TFL...something doesn't add up.  He was probably double teamed some but again, if you're the possible #1 prospect, you win those double teams. 

Fletcher Cox's JR year, his last year at MSU, he had 26 solo, 14.5 TFL and 5 sacks.  I'm guessing he was double teamed a lot more than Carter being the top dog on the MSU D.  UGA has great defenders and I'm sure Carter had his fair share of 1-on-1 battles to win.

Works for me, the #1 thing the Eagles need is time to recover from injuries, this would give us an extra week to do that.
