Cancel the rest of the NFL season, and whichever team had the best regular season record the most number of weeks, is declared champion.

On to free agency and the draft.

See, there is a solution.  I love it.

I assume Minshew gets the credit for the title as he was the last QB to start a game for the champions

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Hopefully they can extubate him soon. That's the next big hurdle.

If we see Kenny Golladay play, we know the Giants aren't trying to win.

Um, maybe not..............

Not at all saying there is any truth to this, but, if Hurts end up not playing Sunday, what in the actual F is going on.  ( 6:20 mark )

What about the Baltimore Ravens ??  This impacts them winning the AFC north if they beat the Bengals on Sunday.  They have the better division record, and have a head to head win over the Bengals already, so just assuming they can not beat them and should not get a shot to be the best team in the division is ridiculous.

Call it a tie or no contest and let the chips fall for playoff seeding

At this point, the NFL will make a decision and it will have a major impact on the seasons of 4 teams, and I am most likely going to disagree with the decision, and I have stated in this post that I have a very good case.

Most people in here disagree with the "very good" part but otherwise yeah.  I think we can all agree that there is no solution that is fair to everyone and that we are looking for the least worst case overall here.  You have your opinion and others have different ideas.  All good.

So you'd be putting the entire AFC playoffs back a week?  No chance they do that.  There is a lot that goes into the games, other than the game itself.  That's just not how business works.  You can't change the plans for multiple teams and cities because of one game.

They absolutely can push the AFC playoffs back a week.

Can you tell me which teams and cities will be affected?

No you cannot, because they havent been scheduled yet.  Its just TV timeslots at this point, with teams and cities TBD.

I cringe saying it, but I have to agree with this post.  None of these teams know yet who they are playing, and if that game is being played on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday night.

with no fans in the stadium. skeleton crew in the stadium working because no seat ushers, concession workers, no security needed at gates with metal detectors and bag checkers, no ticket scanners etc. No need for boosts in mass transit staffing. No need for parking lot employees. No need for police presence directing traffic and operating traffic lights, and on, and on, and on.

These games are way different than the empty covid games. Way more goes in to moving them now.

None of the AFC playoff games have been scheduled yet, so this entire post is literally moot.

The only change would be TV timeslots pushing back one week

No, horrible idea.  They must play the game

They played the game.  7-3 Bengals.

So because the teams are known yet, means what exactly?

Teams and cities will be affected, what difference does it make which cities they are?

What plans will be affected, there are no plans?

If youre a fan of the Bengals, what difference does it make if you play week 19 or 20, when you have no idea where or when youre playing as of today?

The only currently scheduled plans that change would be TV timeslots.

All the food vendors and towel boys and local ticket scalpers dont have any plans for the AFC playoffs yet because theyre not scheduled.   How are you people not understanding this??

They aren't taking away a bye week from the AFC but giving one to the NFC for the SB. Why is this still being talked about?

Why the hell do you "cringe?"

Does it pain you that you agree with the idea I brought up?  Be an adult

Again, what difference does it make who the teams and cities are?  The fact is, you are asking one half of the NFL postseason to be pushed back a week because of one game.  That is ridiculous.  Also, when you're on the side of WV boy, you might want to rethink your position.

In a month, if the Bills play in KC and lose in OT or by a FG at the end of the AFCCG, you don't think this will all be revisited as the Damar Hamlin situation will be in the rear view mirror ??
