I had to do mandatory Manager DEI training at work last year. I can honestly say that I learned little to no useful info that I could use managing my (offshore) team other than never apologise on behalf of someone else for them deliberately misusing pronouns as it's wrong to do so. At least I can put it on my CV but it achieved nothing practcal other than wasting my time.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

yikes, that's a long list.  I guess half of them are rest.

Hurts seems to be trending in the right direction for playing, though I’m sure that won’t stop people from panicking about Sunday regardless.

Radio is going to have a field day with Hurts being LP

Hurts took the first-team reps. The Giants are playing backups. As long as Dexter Lawrence doesn't play, we're going to run the ball a lot and be fine.

Throwing won't get Hurts in trouble. It's taking hits. No zone-reads on Sunday!

I went to mandatory Sensitivity Training about 5 years ago.  I learned that it's not LGBT -- it's LGBTQIA+*%&#@)(#

No way.  It’s almost like this has been tweeted for a few hours now.

Still nothing official from the league that I have seen yet.  I have not seen it tweeted by Schefter, Rapaport, just a couple of randos.

Nothing on NFL.com or ESPN.

They are only reporting "per sources", there has been no official announcement from the league.

I can see Hurts keeping the ball and running on the first play. Just to prove a point....because ya know....leadership.

My employer let DEI slide into their DMs in 2020 and they've not mandated any sensitivity training since.  I've always wondered how a company that has a large offices in India, UAE and China can square the DEI, LGBT, etc circles but it's not something I could ask without going on the naughty list.

Fire Steichen into the sun if he calls option plays on Sunday. Only RPOs runs should be RB runs.

The NFL is either having trouble getting one of the key parties to line up or they are trying to get complicated.

Multiple outlets including the AP have reported per sources the game is cancelled.

Still nothing official from the NFL, any plugged in guys, NFL.com and ESPN show nothing indicating it is cancelled.

Not sure what the hold up could be, unless its getting the Chiefs to agree to a neutral site title game if it comes down to them and Buffalo.

Sounds like a current CVON topic.

Giants playing their starters and half our team limited.  Feeling great!!

If the Chiefs win this week and the Bills lose, why should a potential championship game between them be played at a neutral site? The Chiefs would be 14-3 and the Bills would be 12-4. Head to head wouldn't mean squat.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/05/a-j-brown-were-all-excited-to-have-jalen-hurts-back/

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.

He may or may not have the same status for Thursday’s session. But one of his top targets sounds like he’s expecting hurts to be on the field for Sunday’s game against the Giants.

"We’re all excited to see him back, just seeing him doing his thing,” Brown said, via John Clark of NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com. "He’s locked in for sure. He definitely had a tempo about him today — even in the walk-through. He was telling guys to come on, hurry up, get going. So, I’m glad he’s back.”

Brown confirmed that Hurts was taking first-team snaps with the offense and that the ball looked "very sharp” coming out of Hurts’ hand.

"He’s still crafty, he’s still knocking the rust off,” Brown said, via Tim McManus of ESPN. ”But I think he’ll be fine coming on Sunday.”

Brown, however, wouldn’t go as far as saying that he’s expecting Hurts to play.

"I’m not the person to make those calls, but if I had to call it, i’d probably say [he’s playing],” Brown said.

I read an article in USA Today on "Seven Head Coaches Who Could Be Fired On Black Monday".  Here's who I think should and should not be fired:

Dennis Allen -- definitely fired.  Mickey Loomis can go with him as the Saints are in annual cap hell.  Allen was bad with the Raiders, too

Todd Bowles -- definitely fired.  I almost pity him because the Bucs are dysfunctional, but Bowles isn't a head coach; he's a coordinator.

Kliff Kingsbury -- definitely fired.  Is there a category for never should have been hired?  He did deliver some wins but they're going off a Kliff now

Ron Rivera -- definitely fired.  Last place team with a roster that should be better.  Have they had a winning season since he arrived?

Lovie Smith -- definitely fired, and same deal as Kingsbury.  Let Cesario do a real coaching search/hire.

Brandon Staley -- not fired.  Thought sure he was a goner at mid season, but the Chargers are improving each year (little by little)

Kevin Stefanski -- not fired.  The organization above him is a mess, and Berry should be fired.  Too bad the owner can't be fired (could be said for almost all these teams)

That would only take place if the Bills don't win.

It’s gonna be a blood bath

Rivera's problem is largely is poor offensive coaching staff.  Lovie Smith had the team with the worst roster in the NFL and they were competitive a fair amount.  I would hope he would get another year but think you're right. Bowles should get another year too. The roster was depleted by injuries.  I don't know that he will.

You may (or may not) notice new sub-forums show up, right now, in TATE but also soon in CVON and ATNFL. They are for archived threads. They can't be posted in and new topics can't be started there.

Those threads are automatically being archived by the board (which means they're moved out of our main database and into their own database). This will hopefully help resolve some of the issues with big threads slowing down.

Since they're moved out of the main database, they (unfortunately) won't be visible in searches. So if there's an old thread that you're looking for and can't find in a search, check the archive sub-forums.
