Probably more realistic if for no other reason than there’s a good chance Richardson goes top 10 or 15. Seems like people have very polarized opinions on him.

I was more responding to a convo about how we use draft picks though. 31 (or 28 or whatever) seems like it’s poised for an unusual move by Howie. That 5th year on a first round contract is valuable, and since Richardson is so polarizing — yet talented — it would seem like one of those out of left field picks that shouldn’t really surprise people given the eagles history at the QB position.

What makes you think there's a 'good chance' Richardson goes top 10-15?  He would be dumb to come out this year, he's not even draft able.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

His upside is close to Josh Allen coming out. Or so I’ve heard.

I already explained it to you.  They lost the chance at a #1 seed when theyve already beaten KC and were beating the Bills.

Now they will probably have to go on the road to KC in the 2nd round, a team they beat head to head on the way to earning the #1 overall seed---until something completely out of their control took place and the NFL made up new rules.

You guys can write this off all you want, but if this happened to the Eagles we'd all be furious. And imagine that happening pre-2017 before we had won a SB.

Thats how its unfair to the Bengals

Bengals had no chance at the #1 seed.  Kansas City just finished their season at 14-3.  Buffalo could have been in play for the #1 seed; the Bengals not.

The Ravens are being screwed over much more than the Bengals.  If they beat Cincinnati they’ll have the same number of wins and beaten them head-to-head twice, yet have no opportunity to win the division.  The Bengals were gifted that division by the NFL without having to win it.  They are lucky to even be getting a coin flip, because in that scenario they should by all rights be playing the game in Baltimore — AND guaranteed to keep the #3 seed.

People crying for the Bengals take the perspective that they lost the opportunity to win the game against Buffalo.  They also lost the opportunity to lose it — they were playing against the #1 conference seed.

Ravens got screwed over most, Chiefs next.

I agree wholeheartedly, but I do not expect him to get out of the 2nd Round, and won't be at all surprised if he is a Day One pick.  After all, he is a QB.  IIRC Allen had similar concerns in his draft year, but the Bills took him regardless.  Lamar Jackson too.

Wise ass.  🥶

Jackson and Allen were successful in their CFB careers though.   Alen's concerns did involve accuracy, but not to the degree of Richardson (and that small school thing)

Rams in even worse shape if he leaves. They would need him to want to go somewhere else and trade him for draft capital

Losing McVay would be a disaster for them. Maybe he comes back after a year or two though.

If there’s a lucrative offer for him to be an analyst then he should grab it.  These coaches have a much better quality of life once they leave the sidelines.  I doubt Cowher, Johnson, Mariucci, etc. ever miss it much.  Even Rex Ryan likely has a better deal on TV

Who’s choice?

I have always felt McVay is overrated.

Hes too conservative. He failed to coach up Goff. His entire offense was Cooper Kupp. They are nothing without Kupp. And he has been helped,  in successful years by a strong D with excellent D coordinators and a very talented roster (which left them out of draft picks).

The team has fallen flat. They have cap issues, and no picks to dig out of the basement with.

Maybe they want him gone,  but he should want out too. That's a bad place to be,  and will remain so for at least a few years.

He was talking about retiring before this season anyway.

Dude, the Chiefs won 14 games. The Bengals could never get to 14 wins even if they had beaten the Bills. This isn’t complicated.

It removed any possibility of the Bengals earning that spot.  Maybe the Chiefs arent playing ring around the rosey in their huddle tonight if they know they could lose the #1 seed.  Maybe they play a little tighter and lose.  It can happen, but the NFL prevented any chance of that and rendered a prime time game meaningless.

But let's forget KC and think of how this plays out now for the Bengals.  They could have gone 12-4 if the result held vs the Bills.  That means they take the #2 spot and clinch the AFCE. This week is then meaningless for their opponent, the Ravens.

Instead, theyre playing a super competitive game this week for a chance to host a playoff game.

If they win, theyre the #3 and go to Buffalo instead of hosting them.

The change that the NFL literally made up on the spot--instead of following their own rules or actually making up the game as they have for the last 90 years--inarguably decreases the Bengals competitive odds.

The Bengals are coming off a SB loss, though, so they probably dont mind.  Imagine the NFL conspiracy theories if this happened to the Eagles

Shout out to Dougie P, rooting he gets the W tonight

That’s what I assumed. He’ll take a year off, do TV, then have his pick of jobs

Yeah, he's bailing out - there's no pressure on him, the Rams have no fans.  Worst SB defense ever.

Rut roh lol

He’s under contract with the Rams through 2026, so a team would be in the same boat as the Broncos would be if they want Sean Payton

Should be interesting

Good luck to Dougie P!!

Game is about to start, per sources.

If this guy doing the anthem doesn't embody Jacksonville I don't know who would.
