You can definitely inject it for pain. It might even be superficial enough to just wear a lidocaine patch on it.

So if they return to the Hurts running 10 times a game offense in the playoffs, does Hurts make it or get injured again and Minshew has to play ??

For all the discussion about what this team needs for next season... add "big back" or 'short yardage" back right there at the top for me.  That doesn't mean they need to spend huge resources on it, but they absolutely need to have a plan for it this offseason.  They can't leave it to chance.  And they can't leave the plan of using Hurts as the battering ram again.

Muscle memory. I can't fault him for that.  For me it falls back on the coaching staff for not making the decision for him.  Players are gonna play the way they play in the heat of a game.  The coaches need to alleviate some of that.
