I wouldn't say people are judging but I think it's OK to voice concern over things that were discussed leading up to the draft.

The other side of the argument is that it's a passing league.  Is it worth trading 4 draft picks to move up for a guy who when he makes a difference, it's in the running game?  I'd prefer disruption in the passing game.

Jordan Davis makes a huge difference in the passing game. Not just the run game.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I didn't happen to notice any, but was there any national outrage at the Giants decision to insert a third string quarterback into a season finale that meant nothing to them against a division rival that was in position to win the division while at the same time another division rival was hoping for them to actually win the game? Maybe it's just me, but I seem to recall something similar happening fairly recently that drew the ire of everyone in creation. It'd be nice if there was some consistency in outrages.

The Cowboys fans would have been pissed, but they couldn’t even beat the Skins 3rd string QB so they have nothing to complain about, except their QB having a better completion percentage to the other team, than his own.

Is that twitter video of Lane dancing recent from last night or is it old?

Old.  He didn't dress yesterday.

Agreed.  If Davis helps us keep the opposition in obvious passing downs by stopping the run, he is making a difference in the passing game.

I wonder about Jordan Davis. I thought we'd be seeing more of him by now but he only played 8 snaps on defense.

That ankle can't be 100%

For those curious, the loss to New Orleans ended up costing the Eagles two spots in the draft.

I know there's still the playoffs, but Hurts' improvement from last year surpassed my expectations I had going into the season.

My biggest complaint is the coaching staff's reliance on using him as the power back and opening him up to injury. Last 2 seasons Hurts has been banged up at the end of the regular season. I hope his current injury doesn't impact him for the playoffs, but it is quite concerning we are seeing this again.

I'm mostly against drafting a RB in the 1st, especially when we consistently see successful RB's selected with 2nd and 3rd day picks. I like Tank Bigsby, Zach Charbonnet, and Isreal Abanikanda. Any other RBs to keep an eye on?

Not only that.  Most importantly,  when you can stop the run with a beefy front 4 all by themselves,  you can have coverage LBs helping in coverage.

7 in coverage is better than 5 in coverage.

That's what this entire defensive system relies on.  Front 4 stopping the run-Not to be a great run defense,  but to stop the pass by being able to commit more to coverage.

A NT is the key to making this whole D work.

We didn't have one last year which is why the D sucked.

Would you rather play the Giants or Bucs in 2 weeks if you had your choice

Not terrible, but two spots in the top 10 is pretty significant. Randomly guessing it could be the value of a 3rd-4th round pick.

But Saints losing yesterday prevented a similar loss value.

The Broncos have requested permission to speak with Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris. That doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Well we learned moving from 15 to 13 costs a 4 and 2x5s.

Giants. I don’t care how bad the Bucs have looked this year. Brady, over the years, has been the luckiest, most fortuitous guy ever in the playoffs. Always some fluke play or turnover going his way. You can’t underestimate that guy’s luck and I want no part of it.

With that, the sack record, wins record, this season will be disappointing if the Eagles are not at a minimum in the Super Bowl, and without a win, for me it will be a disappointment.

Tough call.  Beating the same team 3 times in a season can be difficult. (Tons of tape, adjustments, etc). And who wants to face Brady in the playoffs?

Either way, if this team plays up to its full potential, on both sides of the ball, I like their chances against either.

That’s better.

If they didn’t get the sack record we’d all be chipper about losing at home to Brock Purdy in the NFFCG.

I’d prefer the Bucs, I don’t want to see a division rival three times except for the Cowboys because I’d love to send them home in the playoffs. I know it’s Brady, but their OL isn’t good. And I don’t think their defense is good enough to stop our offense. Giants are a better coached team.

Woke up this morning thinking "Would I take #10 overall from the Saints" in August...and the only conclusion I could come up with was yes.

Saints were a top 3 defense in the 2nd half of the season.

The requests are coming in fast and furious.

Yeah, I thought they were too talented to bottom out. Fortunately for us they also got crippled by injuries too.

So, Quinn, Morris, Payton, Ryans, Gannon and Jim Harbaugh all on their list of Interviews...

Casting a wide net in Denver...as they should, I guess...

edit, Manu nailed it just above ...

I thought the Saints had a decent chance at the last WC spot back then - although I didn’t expect that TB to be so disappointing. The 7 seed is stupid, btw.

Or get a QB who is functional on the road.  Goff was great at home, and invisible on the road.

Home 23 TD's v 3 interceptions

Road 6 TD's v 4 interceptions

I don’t think they can do better than Goff anytime in the near future. Having a full season of Jameson Williams will help that
