Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

This thread seems to be one of the most used/read threads, so I'm going to post this here.

As I've mentioned, but I don't know how many know/remember, I'm caring for my 86 year old mother. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2019 and has been undergoing chemo ever since. In that time, she's had 4 strokes (2 full strokes and 2 mini-strokes) and a few months ago, fell and broke some bones in her pelvis.

I'm her sole caregiver. So 100% of my time, energy and focus in on her care. I do have time here and there to be on the board, to read/post and to make sure things are running well and that the board hasn't crashed or been hacked or whatever. I can't really moderate post by post, thread by thread, issue by issue but my PM box is open for anyone to PM me. As my time allows I can do whatever I can do. Just understand that I'm not here reading every post or seeing every argument/issue, so I'm kind of 'out of the loop' on a lot of goings on.

Thanks for keeping this thing going....and if there are people harassing you over dumb ish, please just ban them.

Did you see my post last night comparing Smith's first half of the year and second half of the year?  Crazy what he could have been had he be properly used all year.

I missed it.  But agree.

Any arguments/issued, perceived or otherwise, are secondary.  Best wishes to you and your mother and thanks again for keeping this place alive!

It's amazing how underutilized Smith was early and then he finished with more catches than Brown. Smith is your new eagles receptions record holder.

But a bunch of those deep balls to brown could have gone smith's way.  Still not quite used properly.

Receptions record holder at WR. Ertz is the actual record holder.

Yeah. I was a little disappointed to see what I did.

The Overshown probably should have been a CB. But Im planning more to re-sign Bradberry, and let Edwards walk so Overshown was more necessary.

I was also happy to add 3 DL, and 2 OTs.

Anyway my draft is much better.

I’ve always known he is a big woody.

Some of the Eagles biggest mistakes going back to Reid even was when losing key coaches, just promoting from within. If we lose Gannon, Steichen or both, hopefully they go out and replace with someone from the outside. Would be fine bringing Reich back as OC.

Good luck with everything VA. Sending my best to you and your mother.

That would need to be a LOG move, right?  Maybe a consultant like Fangio.

Texans can’t even tank right. Get out of here with this list. The Texans might be an all-time bad job considering they’ve fired their last two coaches after one season, and the current GM is the guy who botched both hires.

Looks like Frank is getting a HC interview with the Panthers; I think he'll get a couple of others too.

I think the Panthers, however, should stick with Steve Wilks; the team responded to him after Rhule was fired.  The Raiders should have stayed with Bisaccia but instead moved on to McDaniels -- which has been a bit of an embarrassment.

I bet most coaches prefer Denver. Indy and Houston are weird situations. Arizona and Carolina are okay.

I don't think Caserio was empowered in either hire.  Hopefully McNair lets him do his job this time around.

Probably because of having the #2 overall pick they are that high. I agree with everything you said about the Texans, but I still think I'd take them over an unstable Owner or being saddled with Mr Limited.

Cards have to deal with Murray and Broncos have to deal with Wilson

Colts owner doesn't want a slow rebuild although his drugged out mind could have changed

Texans are just a mess. Are they the new Browns?

Would seem weird if a guy who was in as much demand as Caserio agreed to take a job where he was neutered.

I think Mayfield gets one more starting gig.  I don't think the others will.

Mayfield seems possible but it's not like he was on fire with the Rams. He looked about the same as he did in Carolina but with better play calls.  Still, he's probably the one that's most likely out of the 2nd tier of players.  I could see him going somewhere like NO where they don't have a first round pick.

I missed this on Saturday.

For some reason, I can see Wentz in NO. Maybe its just being another ginger QB in NO.
