This thread seems to be one of the most used/read threads, so I'm going to post this here.

As I've mentioned, but I don't know how many know/remember, I'm caring for my 86 year old mother. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2019 and has been undergoing chemo ever since. In that time, she's had 4 strokes (2 full strokes and 2 mini-strokes) and a few months ago, fell and broke some bones in her pelvis.

I'm her sole caregiver. So 100% of my time, energy and focus in on her care. I do have time here and there to be on the board, to read/post and to make sure things are running well and that the board hasn't crashed or been hacked or whatever. I can't really moderate post by post, thread by thread, issue by issue but my PM box is open for anyone to PM me. As my time allows I can do whatever I can do. Just understand that I'm not here reading every post or seeing every argument/issue, so I'm kind of 'out of the loop' on a lot of goings on.

So thankful for your work. You need not monitor day to day activity. Couple Mods handle that.

Take care of Mom, mine's 92 and I'm her sole caregiver, I get your position.  Know it well, in fact.

Respect to you, VaBE...priorities.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Not Raiders either.  They are in his bottom 7.  But your point is correct in principle.  Which is why I edited the OP to Patriots and added the Oops.

Apparently, we both suck at reading.

LOL

The liberal use of Oops is part of my personal toolbox.

I bet most coaches prefer Denver. Indy and Houston are weird situations. Arizona and Carolina are okay.

Denver job marries you to Wilson as the QB for the foreseeable future. Could be a Deal-breaker for a lot of candidates...

I think they would like that more than most realize.

That college football championship intro was awesome. I might have to go watch the LII intro.

That was a hell of a National Anthem

On paper it should be a blowout

I’ll take TCU and 13

Now that seeding is set, I want to circle back to the AFC vs NFC debate. Seeds are as follows.

1. Chiefs/Eagles

2. Bills/San Francisco

3. Bengals/Vikings

4. Jags/Bucs

5. Chargers/Cowboys

6. Ravens/Giants

7. Dolphins/Seahawks

If we were to pick the better team in each group, IMO it would be:

1. Chiefs

2. Bills

3. Bengals

4. Bucs slightly

5. Cowboys slightly

6. Ravens

7. Dolphins

I could be swayed with the Bucs/Cowboys arguments, but everything else points to AFC being the stronger conference. I'm not saying the NFC has no chance and there is any given Sunday but I think the majority of the time, AFC comes out on top.

I like the Eagles as the best team.

Yeah the Chiefs have PM, and yeah the eagles have looked in a funk the last few games, but if both teams are healthy I think the eagles beat the chiefs 6/10 times. The eagles are one of the few teams in the NFL who can get after PM with just their front 4, and on the other side of the ball, I don’t think the Chiefs can stop our offense.

Yeah, so, the LII intro sucked.

this ought to be good

Depends what "looking into" means.

It could mean it's being discussed internally instead of actively contacting Brady or his agent.  Maybe they're asking Gisele if she'll take him back if he moves to Vegas ....

He's probably got 4 kinds of The Clap by now.

Duggan hurt them that drive , needs to relax

 Caretakers are angels.

Looks like there's a pretty good chance we lose Steichen and Gannon. Might not be a bad idea to win the Super Bowl this year.

TCU doesn’t have the bodies on defense to run this 3-3-5 all night and not get gashed on the ground.

Players I’m watching in tonight’s game

TCU QB

TCU WRs

Derius Davis, TCU: Derius Davis is a big play machine that could strike at any moment for the Horned Frogs. He is a former track star that excels on both special teams and at extending the defense vertically down the field. He has had a quiet season (just 430 yards and five touchdowns receiving) but don't count him out for a big play tonight

Quentin Johnston, TCU: The most talented skill position player on either side may belong to the Horned Frogs in this match up. Johnston is in the middle of a special season, as he has 1,066 yards receiving (18.1 YPC) and six touchdowns on the year. In the semifinal game against Michigan, Johnston hauled in six catches for 163 yards in the TCU win

TCU PR

TCU OG

Steve Avila, TCU: Avila is a behemoth of a player on the interior that boasts some impressive athleticism as well. He has experience across the interior of the OL and he has improved quite a bit each and every year

Lots of Georgia players

Been wondering, what are the chances there's at least 1 future Eagle in this game?

Any draft prospects the Eagles should be looking at in this game?

We need someone to jump on Brian Johnson and bring those picks our way.

I just think Chiefs have the experience and the coaching factor. I also think Mahomes/Kelce would just do abnormally cruel things to the middle of our defense. Kyzir White may not be allowed to step in Philly again.

50/50.

There will or there won’t. The situation is fluid.
