Yeah I have no point, other than the paragraphs I just wrote---and to which others have responded.

Maybe you and the other teenagers can just F Off since you get so butthurt when someone disagrees with you

All you have is fake outrage because the championship was so one sided this year. Next year, there’ll be a close, exciting game and nobody will cry about all this nonsense

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I totally oppose six teams.  It needs to be 8 or 16. Having it be 6 or 12 means teams get bye weeks and subjective decisions are made about which teams get a bye.  Play the games on the field, not in smoke filled back rooms.

Well, then all that money has to go somewhere, doesn't it? And since it sure as hell ain't going to academic facilities (have you seen the locker rooms compared to the chemistry labs? lmao) some of it might as well go to the kids putting their health and wellbeing on the line every week.

Im not just griping about the money involved, I get that.

But even pro leagues have free agency restrictions, salary caps, etc.  What we have here is the Wild West and Im saying it doesnt benefit the sport as a whole -- it benefits the top 10 programs.

Some people like that, Im just not one of them.  I already have pro teams to root for, Im exceeding my fan bandwidth trying to chase down all of these transfers and NIL deals and what-not.   Ive actually lost interest, which really sucks.

You have no point.  College football is not going anywhere.

College football as a whole, no.  It is not going anywhere.   BUT... schools may decide that it just isn't worth it for them anymore, and there will be a trickle down affect to all college sports.

There's an article that might be worth the time to read to see how a ripple effect could be coming...  There's a lot of opinion in the article, but backed up with some facts.

Paying off players has been going on for YEARS. The only difference now is that they have made it open to the public and slapped the "NIL" label on it. Reggie Bush lost his Heisman because he took money from USC and now it's commonplace for players to get seven-figure deals. It's also been going on in college basketball for years too.

What we're seeing now has not been going on for years.

The argument is, there isn't anyone in the NFC better than the Eagles -- and there isn't.  Most pundits will pick SF but they're being overrated

Even if the Bills or Chiefs are viewed as better, the Super Bowl is a one-game event.

But you argued SF is lesser than because they haven’t beaten any contenders. And so you could make the same statement about the Eagles.

Over the last month, SF has certainly looked like a superior team to the Eagles. Playoffs are a different animal of course, but if it ends up a SF/Phi NFCCG, I think it’ll be a very difficult game for us

It's been that way for 40 years. College football has rarely if ever had any parity outside of the top 10 programs.

SF has wins over Sea x2, TB, LAC, and Miami (all playoff teams)

Eagles have wins over NYG x2, Dal, Jax and Minny.

That argument doesn’t really hold up

Curious why you only put the bolded next to San Fran?

I disagree with you, but I did it with facts.  The top 10 stadiums in college football put 1 million fans in the seats.  It is not going away, ever.

Yeah, the top programs.   I've been telling you, they love this system.  Its the other 90% who dont.

Unfortunately, as it currently stands, they need those other 90%

The problem won’t be for the top 20 schools and it will also take a good bit of time to unfold.

Yeah, if parity is what you're after, then some form of salary cap needs to be put in place eventually. The transfer portal should help with parity though because it effectively balances out market inefficiencies by allowing players to seek out opportunities to maximize playing time. Kenneth Walker likely doesn't become Kenneth Walker if he's stuck with a system that doesn't maximize his full potential.

Lol you contradict yourself in the first two responses.

Being called naive isn’t an insult. Calling you a moron for thinking money and educational institutions dont go together is insulting

And what about the not top 10% ??  You think they all just go away ??

How will the NFL draft and NFL pipeline be filled if all the other guys just say screw it, not even gonna play college ball because I cant get into the playoff field or be in the top 10%.

Guys are playing to get into the NFL, and they will play wherever they have to so they can one day play in the NFL.

Because Alphas post indicated SF hadn’t beat any contending teams. As you can see, there’s some posters here with…..lesser intelligence so I wanted to make it easy for them to follow along

I dont think the transfer portal is working that way, though. They need some restrictions on it.

Basically too many kids are transferring and its completely unregulated.  As a coach, I have no idea how youd build a program like that.

By creating a culture that kids want to join and being a coach that they want to play for?

Im talking about with you.  A civil discourse with you, not Toronto Eagle.

There was no reason for you to insult me, but I know you seek the internet approval of others, so go for it

Kind of like, um, I dunno, Sonny Dykes did at TCU.

Money talks man, and kids get those big dollar signs in their eyes.  You can only create so much of a culture when kids transfer the day you tell them theyre not a starter
