My thoughts would be, Purdy winning a SB should have no bearing on a Hurts extension. Hurts has put 2 full seasons on tape what his worth is. Purdy has nothing to do with that.

Agreed.  If Hurts is severely limited by his shoulder that should give the Eagles pause, though — because that would mean he was limited by an ankle injury in Year 1 and another injury in Year 2

He is getting north of $40 million a year regardless of what Brock Purdy does or doesn't do. 

You don't hit the lottery on a franchise qb and then fail to cash in the ticket.

He is not a franchise QB yet.  He has to do it with the price tag and lesser talent, and stay healthy, which I do t think he can do.

If so it should be manageable. 

It could also heal without pain. 

But pain forever is a possibility.  Hopefully can be managed enough not to affect his throwing mechanics/accuracy.

Remains to be seen. 

I found it at least comforting that last week his mechanics/accuracy seemed a lot better.  I still say the shoulder was messed up prior...that hit just really set it aflame.

Usually a separation is AC.

There's also no good surgical fix for those either. 

But sometimes they attempt depending on severity. Grade 3 is a gray area should you or shouldn't you. These days,  it's mostly no. They go up to grade 6. Grade 4-6 are always surgical. And there's no good fix for them. 

SC is similar.  There's no good way to fix it. Most of the time you don't even try. 

Absolutely crazy to think about the evolution of the body over however many years you believe humans have been in existence...and the shoulder never caught up with the times.

I'd argue that Jones was fantastic given the cast around him.  He's got competent coaching now, which is something he needed coming out of school.  As good of a QB coach as Cutliffe was, he still needed a lot of polish when drafted.  He's basically Eli 2.0 right now.  I think it took Eli 7 years in the league to have an 'elite' season and many think he's a first ballot HOF'r.

Such an interesting year. Been since maybe '04 that I felt anything like this. Eagles to me are clearly the best team in the NFC. Seems like if they lose it's because they screwed up, not that they got beat.
