I think the bears are 100% posturing. If Indy and Hou genuinely believe Chicago may take a QB at one, the price for the pick goes up.

I don’t believe they’re seriously considering another QB at 1 already.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Ballard already said the Colts are willing to do whatever it takes to trade up from #4 if there’s a QB they want.

I come in peace

ESPN has a piece about the 4 step plan for Brock Purdy winning a Super Bowl.

Let's say that does happen, and not knowing the reason yet for the Eagles not making it to the Superbowl, what would be your thoughts on a Hurts contract extension if Purdy wins the Super Bowl ??

Shanahan is a choke artist. It won't happen

I’m getting 2017 Case Keenum with the Vikings vibes from Purdy. Water has to find its level eventually and it might happen on Saturday.

Not specifically in hurts contract but 2022 might be the best opportunity the eagles get to make and win and Super Bowl over 2022, 2023 and possibly 2024. There’s a couple reasons why I say this.

When Lane Johnson returns for the divisional round, the Eagles will have 11 out of 11 starters on offense on the field. That’s ridiculously good fortune even if Lane is not 100%. It is really hard to be that healthy for the entire year and going into the playoffs. Defensively, if Maddox doesn’t return, but sweat does that means you have 10 out of 11 starters on defense. So you might not be this healthy heading into the playoffs along with having home-field advantage and a bye week. Maybe the Eagles do have luck on the injury front going forward, but i don’t think you can count on having 21 of 22 starters stay healthy for a playoff run every year

secondly, the Eagles have a ton of free agents and they have to extend Jalen hurts. So at some point you’re not gonna be able to afford everybody due to that extension and need to insert young guys. Going to be a learning curve on defense at that point. Hopefully it goes smooth and those young kids step up. You can try to bring back some of the guys on defense but there’s gonna be a lot of younger players who are stepping into roles of veterans who are gone. It might take you a year (possibly two) to get yourself back to where you want to be defensively. On defense suh, Cox, hargrave, Quinn, Joseph, Edwards, white, Bradbury, CJGJ, Epps and graham are all FAs. Add on slay is going to be 32 next year. And on offense you don’t know what Jason Kelce is going to do. He might retire. He is also a FA if he doesn’t. He’ll be back if he wants to keep playing but if he retires you have his replacement. but that is a tall task for a second year player to replace that kind of guy. Miles Sanders is a free agent. Seumalo is likely to keep but I don’t think they can afford to just pay everyone.  so it might be a cost cutting at the position, plus having Stoutland they go young there as well

eagles highly likely are still gonna be  good next year but this might be the best opportunity for them to win a Super Bowl this year, next year and who knows really in 2024.

There was some discussion awhile back about whether the Eagles should have waited a year to draft a center, but at least according to Brugler it’s a really weak class.

And if I were the Bears I would consider this a failed draft if they don’t end up with Will Anderson. It’s a tough decision to make to move all the way down to 4

The Bears have so many needs, that everything should be on the table for #1.  QB is one of those needs.

Idk depends on the offer the colts give up. If they get 4th overall, 2nd rounder in 23, 1st in 2024, 2nd in 2024 and someone like Buckner that’s a pretty ridiculous haul. I tend to think they’ll have the Texans wanting to move up cause they want young so they might just take a Texans offer and move back 1 spot and cash in on no. 1 and get Anderson.

Feel we're going to throw to Jurgens at least once in the playoffs.

Exactly what I was thinking. If Indy gives a monster haul, Texans may feel compelled to match it to get the QB they perceive Indy will take from them. What was it Howie said? If you identify your franchise QB, there is no price too high

Yup. Also i think bears would prefer to move back to two with the Texans. I think Texans and colts being in same division and if they are after same franchise Qb could be a pricey bidding war.

Wouldn’t be shocked if the bears moved to 2 and fielded calls again if someone wants to move up for stroud. Again would depend on that package on what they do.

Interesting. Why is that?

Grew up watching Big 5 basketball when it was great. Almost every night of the week there was a game on TV with Al Meltzer doing the play-by-play. Picked a favorite team and became a hardcore fan. That favorite team wasn't Villanova. I've hated them since the age of eight. To me,, their winning the national championship was like the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl.

Jim Harbaugh to Indianapolis feels like a thing that’s gonna happen

I feel like he’s either holding Michigan hostage for more money or they’re about to get some sanctions dropped on them.

Pretty much a given the Ravens franchise tag him.  Just a matter of whether he plays under it or tries to force his way out.  If it’s the latter, I’m hoping he gets traded straight-up for Dak

I’ve heard he’s likely to be under investigation personally for improprieties

I’m betting we see Commander Carr next season
