Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I’m the same on 1 through 5.  I’d love for 6 to be the case but unless Purdy crashes I don’t see that one happening.  Of course a crash landing precedent was set on Monday.

8 point game last time. Rookie QBs don’t fair well in the playoffs. 9-19. Against a division rival. I see Purdy making quite a bit of mistakes.

My sense is they go younger but I wouldn't be suprised if Cox comes back.  I don't think Suh will want to re-sign if that means going to a training camp.

I suspect both Joseph and Suh will be on Howie’s Bell Squad … possibly Cox too.

I am pretty sure the Niners have the home field.

Yeah I fixed my post already.

Earlier this year in Frisco the Hawks offense didn’t score, and the 9ers didn’t have McCafferey.   Hawks are gonna get waxed.

Is there any team that matches up well with the Niners? The Eagles need someone to challenge them and soften them up.

Pages about the guy. Use the ignore feature. What happened to all of the people that would brag about how many people they had on ignore. Are they all gone?

They put the whole EMB on ignore.

Imagine how many sacks Jim Johnson would have with this DLine. Blitzers would be coming from everywhere.

I'm trying to stop myself from dropping a bomb on a 3-leg parlay with the 49ers, Bills, and Bengals to win straight up. Pays out like -150.

That would give the eagles the easiest road to the SB in nfl history.

I'm glad that's a regular season stat because I don't care for that mindset. They were sack hunting more than playing solid defense. Brandon Graham hitting Taylor Heinicke a couple seconds after the play reeked of sack-chasing. It made us a dumb defense.

Yeah, you could tell on those two QB draws where the red sea parted. They rushed with reckless abandon.

would you be happy?

As much as I don't like RBs in the first round, taking one at the end of the first round isn't the worst idea. It's a weird spot in the draft with a lot of reaches and/or misses. If you take a RB there, at least you get the 5th year option. You're just going to have to avoid a holdout once the RB becomes eligible for an extension. It would still have to be a stud RB for me to do it though.

It depends on the team situation and the RB prospect.  AR was Mr. No 1st round RBs.  Then he did it...and now he regrets that he did.  First and last for him.

Could an otherwise complete team benefit from adding a stud RB...enough to justify a 1st round pick?  Of course.  But those stars have almost never aligned in the last 20 years.

I made this same argument a couple years back when reid did it with CEH. It didn’t work out as well cause CEH failed but in general if you are picking 26-32 and he’s the best available it makes sense cause you get the 4 cheapest years, plus the 5th year option and likely prime years of the backs career.

If we were to consider the unthinkable with RB in round 1, I'd want the guy to be a near generational receiving talent and deadly in space.  Those are the guys that transform an offense.  Westbrook, Mccaffrey, etc. That would bring the RB screen passing game back to this offense, matchup nightmares motioning him out wide with our already excellent WRs.

The Zeke's, Barkley's, even Henry....the big, strong, explosive, downhill runners that punish a defense with 20 carries per game...meh.  I'll take one, but not at a round 1 investment.

AR thought Hellaire might add that Westbrook dynamic to his already nearly unstoppable offense...so I get the play he made there.  Just didn't work out.

It would have to be a really good prospect though still, someone like Jonathan Taylor. Imagine if KC grabbed him instead of CEH? They probably got a little too cute with CEH. Taylor was an obvious, can't-miss RB. Either way, you're better off taking a DB or just BPA. There are so many talented RBs to be taken in the middle rounds. It's the easiest plug and play position in football.

I was putzing around and logged into my other username, which I've never posted with and never use ( @VaBeach_Admin ) and discovered a few PM's in there where people asked questions or made requests.

I never use that account and hadn't logged into it probably since 2020 when the board was brand new. If you want to PM me, do it on this account and not that other one. If you send it to the other one, I may not see it for 2 or 3 years when I go putzing around again...

Oh, and anyone that calls me a Putz, is banned!

So... "putz" is off the table, but what about schmuck or bozo?  Asking for a friend...
