Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Bieniemy? He's been interviewed tons of times, year after year, and was never even a finalist. He's not even getting interviews now. The league has clearly shown they don't think he's head coach material. You don't even hear the social media outrage anymore about him.

Oh ok. I wasn't sure what you meant by that lol

If Steichen gets a job this off-season, it feels like it might be Carolina. I think he definitely could get a job, but I don’t think it’s a lock. It doesn’t feel like the Texans are gonna be a the spot for him. Seems they’re focused on Gannon, Demeco, Payton. Denver seems locked in on Harbaugh and Payton. I doubt he’d go to the Colts after the whole Frank Reich, Sirianni angle with Irsay.

Maybe Cardinals, but the buzz hasn’t been as strong there. IMO if the panthers hire someone other than Steichen I think he very well could return for another season. We’ll see.

I hope Ryans gets the job in HOU if he's interested -- he deserves it and it would be a good fit with his playing past there.

I'm worried because Cal McNair said he's going to be active in the search again.  Just let Caserio hire the head coach, then fire both of them if he gets it wrong.

Yeah i think some stuff was leaked that he’s kind of an ahole and doesn’t interview well.

Plus, how much of the chiefs success can you ascribe to him? From 1000 feet above it looks to be mostly Reid/Mahomes that drive that offense

I’m guessing probably what you’d get as he’s astute in answering questions. But maybe you get a slip up of it’s more sore than normal.

Is "more sore than normal” really informative?  The day after my flu shot, my shoulder is "more sore than normal”.  I had a mildly sprained ankle this past fall and two and a half weeks later after I would have said it was "more sore than normal”.  Heck, on arm day, my shoulders are "more sore than normal”.   You get my drift.  That’s not telling much.

Yeah don’t think you are getting much like you said. but you never know if by chance he slips up. And it’s still better than nothing when asking the question. It’s why they ask the questions they have already about it. It wasn’t revealing still have to ask. And if you ask in a different way maybe he slips up or someone slips up or you stumble into another nugget. Likely not, but I’d still try as many ways as possible to attempt to get something we haven’t heard

Surprised I haven't heard anything about Juan Castillo being interviews for a head coach position 🙂

Ugh I read this and am reminded Burkhardt/Olsen will call the Super Bowl.

The NFL is paranoid of concussions, they don't want any games to be extended. It's why they shortened overtime and probably why they don't want teams to get extra possessions in OT in the regular season.

Yet they extended the season.

That was fast. Is he staying with NBC this time? Amazon didn't get the best schedule of games. I think there were only a few good games on it

I’m officially worried.

It’s a good thing there’s a bye week,” Hurts said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. Hurts wouldn’t deny the chance that he could still be less than 100% healthy for the Eagles’ first playoff game next Saturday or Sunday, adding: "But I’ve played injured before.”

I can almost guarantee the injuries worse than what they’re putting out

I don’t know, it obviously could be but it seems weird to be divulging this type of information. Especially after how they handled his injury before he returned last week. All tight-lipped about it, Siri only saying that he can heal faster than the normal human, no percentages, nothing about anything being sore, now all of the sudden they’re spilling everything and telling the world? Maybe it’s somewhere in between them telling the truth and a little bit of gamesmanship/Hurts trying to build his mythology.

He was always still signed on for one playoff game a year with NBC.

Didn't know he left.  I sure didn't miss him one bit; the game passed him by at least 5 years ago.  He and Collinsworth were both terrible on the Eagles' Super Bowl broadcast.

And Deion took the Colorado job... ouch.

What exactly is the gamesmanship though? Teams aren't going to prepare less or differently for a playoff game because they think Hurts is hurt.

I think he was more hurt than they initially let on. All the sore talk is just lip service.

I'm trying to stop myself from dropping a bomb on a 3-leg parlay with the 49ers, Bills, and Bengals to win straight up. Pays out like -150.

Whoops.  Just did.  And not sure how I feel about it now.

Because it’s the NFL and almost all coaches/players are tight-lipped when it comes to game plan or player status. Belichick hasn’t given a real answer to anything in a press conference or interview in like 25 years in New England.

Would be very surprised if Hurts does not play next weekend, sore or not.  It is playoff time, you don't save something for later.  The team needs him to win the game and it is good for him to show the world of his craft.

He was well enough to play in the season finale.  They did take something off on the more aggressive plays, yet he had one of the special QB push for short yardage.

I know, my point is that is gamesmanship. Being tight lipped and revealing little as possible to not show your cards serves a purpose. Doing the opposite of that serves no gamesmanship purpose.

This isn't me putting a negative spin on it, I just can't think of a better way to describe it, Nick's just stroking Hurts ego.

Good luck. I considered adding Dallas ML to boost it to +180ish.

I have 2 TV's in my bar, with a beer miester, a fire place so I dont think I've ever attended a 1pm Eagles game. I go TNF, MNF, SNF when no other games on so I get the point of being at home and prefer it at 1pm too
